On The Bold and the Beautiful today, Hope (Annika Noelle) told Brooke how furious she was that no one was celebrating the win of the jewelry line drop. Hope thought she may get some support from her mother, but even Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) wasn't on board. She tried to explain everyone's mixed feelings, but Hope didn't want to hear it. Brooke suggested that Hope try to support Carter while he dealt with his guilt. "Or else what?" Hope asked. She insisted that the Forresters used Carter, didn't respect him, and took advantage of his big heart, and she would defend him from it happening again, especially by Ridge.

Zende reports back to the Forresters

At the Forrester mansion, Zende (Delon De Metz) told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Taylor (Rebecca Budig), and Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) that at the jewelry line drop, the only person in the room who was excited was Hope. Zende said Hope couldn't read the room and called for champagne, but no one took her up on it. Even Brooke was as torn as the rest of them, Zende said, but Taylor noted that if that were true, then Brooke would have halted the takeover.

Carter hugs his best friend

In the CEO's office, Ridge saw Carter's cut palm and said, “Blood on your hand. Well, that tracks.” Ridge reminded Carter that he had agreed to cut Hope's line, until he fell for her. Ridge said he was confused as he still saw that man who strayed up with him night after night when his dad was dying, the same person who slept on his couch when Maya had left, and he still saw his brother. He didn't want to, but he did. Ridge said it was more than a company; it was his life, and Carter stole it. Ridge said all Hope wanted was to beat Steffy and wondered if Hope made Carter a better person. Ridge reminded of the moment he and Carter met and how quickly they bonded. “Losing you, my best friend in the world…that broke me,” Ridge told him. Carter shared his own feelings of missing Ridge. They two men cried as they hugged. Hope came to the doorway and didn't like what she saw.
