In Finn’s office, Finn was with Li, worried about Steffy. Li said he hadn’t done anything wrong, and Hope had kissed him. Finn stated that he hadn’t listened to Steffy, and she couldn’t stand to be in the same room with him. He lamented that he missed his wife. Li advised him to contact Steffy, but he said he couldn’t do that after she’d asked him not to contact her. He said Steffy was upset with him for not honoring her wishes, so he had to do just that.

The topic turned to Poppy, and Finn wondered if the crimes were something Poppy could do. Li told Finn that Poppy had been a bum, and one couldn’t be that way with a child. Li, however, didn’t think Poppy was capable of murder. Finn asked who had done it then. Finn wanted his aunt to be innocent, but the evidence wasn’t on her side. He asked who could have set her up and why.

Li explained that the evidence had been methodical and planned, which wasn’t like Poppy. Poppy was one to pack up and leave when things didn’t go her way. Poppy wasn’t a fighter, let alone someone who’d plan another’s demise. Finn asked about Poppy risking losing Bill. Li didn’t buy that her sister was a killer, and Li wondered who the next victim might be.

Li asked if Finn had seen Luna. Finn called himself a terrible cousin, but Li said he’d had a lot to deal with. Finn figured he’d check in on Luna. “I’ll swing by her apartment and make sure she’s all right,” Finn decided.

At Il Giardino, Sheila sat with Katie, unable to believe Katie had gone all that way to hear Sheila say she’d told Katie so about the murders. Deacon sat down, and Katie noticed his hurt arm. He’d injured himself unboxing inventory, something Hollis had helped with, and he couldn’t believe Poppy had killed his best friend.

Sheila wondered if Katie had spoken to Finn, who had to be devastated. Katie hadn’t. Deacon said it was good that Luna had her dad, but Katie replied that it wasn’t quite true.

Later, Deacon was surprised to hear that Poppy had killed Tom and Hollis to hide Luna’s paternity. Deacon hoped Poppy would rot in prison. Sheila felt sorry for Luna. Katie said Luna’s life had been turned upside down. Deacon replied that it sucked that Luna had to go through it alone. Sheila figured Luna had Finn, who could bring light to her.

The subject turned to Bill’s relationship with Luna. Sheila admitted she had never thought of Bill with a daughter. Katie said Luna and Bill loved each other, and Poppy had used Luna’s desire for a father to Poppy’s advantage. Deacon added that Poppy had killed two people in the process. Deacon figured it was a huge weight for Luna to carry. Katie replied that it was terrible that "sweet Luna" was going through something so awful.

Later, Sheila presented Deacon with framed photos of Hollis and Tom. She said it would mean that Hollis and Tom would always be with them.

In the condemned apartment, Steffy woke up, screaming. Luna arrived, wondering how Steffy had slept. Tossing bottled water and snacks into the cage, Luna claimed to have slept well at the Spencer estate. Steffy begged Luna to let her get back to her kids. Luna assured Steffy that, as Finn’s cousin, Luna would make sure the kids were taken care of.

Luna left as Steffy shook the cage and yelled for help. Alone, Steffy opened a bottle of water, but then, thinking better of it, she didn’t drink it. Steffy continued screaming for help. Steffy sobbed, crying out for Finn to help her. She said she needed him.

At the jail, the weary Poppy lit up to see that Luna, clad in black, had arrived for a visit. Luna wondered if her mother was okay. Poppy joked about the overcooked steaks. Poppy confided that she was terrified and didn’t belong there. Poppy was hopeful that the truth could come out. Luna asked what would happen if it didn’t. Poppy tried to reassure her daughter, but Luna said she was scared. Poppy thanked God that Luna had Bill, but Luna tearfully revealed that Bill wasn’t her father. Poppy was stunned to hear it.

Poppy wondered how the test could have been wrong. Luna said Katie had gotten to Bill, and he’d decided to take another test. Poppy said Katie had thought Poppy had tampered with it. Luna asserted that Katie had been right, but Poppy wondered if the new test could be wrong. Luna explained that they’d taken two, and both had been negative.

Poppy apologized to her daughter. She felt terrible that Luna’s mother had been arrested, Bill wasn’t Luna’s father, and Poppy couldn’t hold Luna. Luna claimed it was terrible, and she said they’d never been apart that long before. Poppy wished she could be there for Luna. Luna was certain Poppy would get out because Poppy was innocent. Poppy wondered how long it would take. Poppy stated that Luna was stuck out there alone, but Luna thanked God that she had Bill.

Poppy was happy and amazed to learn that Bill hadn’t wanted anything to change between him and Luna due to the paternity test. It made Poppy love Bill more. Luna did, too, and said she’d always have Bill in her life. Poppy believed that they’d make memories again. Luna couldn’t wait. It was hell in jail, but Luna’s belief in Poppy kept Poppy going. Luna said she knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that Poppy hadn’t killed anyone. Worried that a killer was still on the loose, Poppy urged Luna not to leave Bill’s side.

Later, Luna was waiting for Chief Baker in his office. He arrived, assuming she was there to plead Poppy’s innocence. Luna said Poppy wasn’t innocent, and Luna couldn’t cover for Poppy. Luna claimed to have evidence that proved Poppy was guilty of murder.
