In Finn’s office, Liam arrived as Finn was thinking about Steffy leaving him. “You and Hope? Really?” Liam said, figuring Finn had really messed up. Liam revealed that Steffy had found him at his father’s to ask him to keep Kelly. Finn guessed Liam was there to lecture him, but Liam, in disbelief about the kiss, just wanted an explanation.
Finn thanked Liam for being there for Kelly, but Finn didn’t feel he owed Liam an explanation. Liam felt he had a right to know what was going on in Kelly’s life, as it affected them all. Finn replied that Hope had kissed him, not the other way around. He didn’t want to get into it with Liam, but he’d already made it clear to Hope that she’d put him in a terrible position.
Liam said Hope wouldn’t do it out of nowhere, but Finn said he’d missed the signals. Liam suggested that Finn had been the one sending them. Liam claimed Hope wouldn’t kiss Finn unless she knew he’d be okay with it. “Well, I wasn’t,” Finn revealed. He added that, unlike Liam, he would always be completely committed to Steffy, who was his primary concern.
Finn advised Liam to talk to Hope. Liam claimed he was about to, but he told Finn not to pretend he hadn’t played a part in it. Finn said all he’d done had been to support Steffy at a family party, and now, he didn’t know where his wife was. Liam replied that it wasn’t the first time Steffy had needed to get away, and it worried him that Hope was all over the place. Liam claimed that Finn was in the middle of it, and maybe stepping away was healthy for Steffy.

Finn refused to be judged by Liam. Liam asked if Finn saw the chaos he was causing. Finn asserted that he loved his wife and hadn’t betrayed her. He said he’d told Hope to never do it again, and he’d gone straight to his wife. Liam guessed Finn had assured Steffy that it wouldn’t happen again, the same line he’d given about Sheila, and that was probably why Steffy had gone. Finn wished she hadn’t because he couldn’t stop worrying about where she was.
In the design office, Hope thought about kissing Finn. Brooke arrived, figuring she didn’t even want to know what Hope was thinking. Hope claimed she’d had a long day of being harangued about the kiss that everyone seemed to know about, including the newly landed Taylor. She said it was hard to move past her feelings while under a microscope. “So, you were thinking about Finn,” Brooke replied.
Brooke stated that Steffy had left town, not her marriage. Hope snapped that Steffy would rather lecture Hope than repair her marriage, but Steffy shouldn’t go out of her way to punish Finn. Brooke warned Hope not to get involved, but Hope wanted to be there for Finn and remind him of how remarkable he was—even when Steffy didn’t see it.
Hope justified herself by saying she was Finn’s friend, but Brooke said he was Steffy’s husband first. Hope claimed she wouldn’t go after him. Brooke said to put him out of her mind. Unable to do that, either, Hope asked why Steffy got to decide everything and dictate what was right and wrong. Hope recalled that Steffy had made a few mistakes in her lifetime. Hope asked if Steffy got to be the boss, determining relationships and lines that survived or got cut.
Hope said Steffy had gone after her earlier, but Steffy had also gone after her family. To top it off, Steffy had said Hope couldn’t have any relationship with Finn ever.
In the condemned building, Steffy begged Luna to let her go, but Luna determined that Steffy knew too much. Steffy screamed and banged on the cage, to no avail. Luna told her the building was empty, and everyone had moved out. Steffy claimed Luna wouldn’t get away with it, and she ordered Luna to let her go back to her kids. Luna said Steffy wouldn’t go anywhere.
Steffy accused Luna of letting her mother pay for her crimes. Luna claimed Poppy had just dragged Luna from place to place, doing drugs and man-hopping. Poppy had had a one-night stand with a wannabe rock star. “And that’s my fate? That’s my family? This nobody’s gonna be my dad? No!” Luna yelled. She felt she deserved better after a life with "all those losers."
Steffy said Luna had targeted Bill. Luna replied that she and Bill had a connection, and it would get much stronger. Steffy said Bill was too smart, but Luna replied that family was his weakness. When Poppy and Bill had gotten close, Luna had learned that the timing matched up for Bill to be Luna’s father. Luna had begun hounding Poppy about it because she'd known Poppy would want it to be true as much as Luna did. Bill had wanted it, too.
Luna stated that Bill had needed proof, and there was nothing one couldn’t get on the dark web, including fake paternity tests. A flashback played of Luna in front of the paternity test Li had conducted. Luna said she had panicked when her “bitchy Aunt Li” had shown up with the test. When it happened to be the same kit as the phony one Luna had bought, it had been easy for Luna to do a switch. All Luna had ever gotten from Li had been pity, but Li had finally done something useful because no one would question results from Li, the doctor.
Luna said Bill had invited her into his family and had even wanted to make her a Spencer. Steffy guessed Luna would be set for life. Luna said she’d have money and someone who actually wanted to take care of her. She'd refused to lose it when Tom Starr had crawled out of the woodwork. She’d had to take extreme measures. “Like murder,” Steffy added.
Luna said she hadn’t been about to let Hollis or a has-been star ruin her future. Steffy replied that Luna had had a future at Forrester and had been dating R.J. Luna thought of R.J. as the sweet, kind prince of Forrester, but she said Bill had an empire. Luna stated that she’d had it made until her loser father had shown up. Steffy guessed Luna had known about Tom.
Luna revealed that she’d been secretly reading Tom’s letters for years. She’d never planned to let Tom claim her as his own. She’d been mortified to see him working at Il Giardino, and she’d had to stop him before he could go after her. A flashback played of Luna opening a paper package and poisoning Tom’s drink.
Steffy asked about Hollis. Luna said it had been collateral damage because he’d wanted to tell everyone about the letters in the backpack. A flashback played of Hollis handing her the letters and telling her that he’d figured out who her father was, and it wasn’t Bill Spencer. Luna thanked Hollis and claimed some employee was looking for Hollis. While Hollis took off to see about that, Luna poisoned his drink. Hollis returned, guessing she’d been mistaken. He drank from a bottle and very quickly began feeling dizzy. Luna gave him his drink, saying more might help. His vision blurred, and she told him that no one would know Tom Starr was her father. Hollis looked at his drink and fell down behind the bar. Luna collected the bag and drink and stood over Hollis as he died.
Steffy stated that Luna had let Hollis die. Luna shrugged, saying he should have stayed out of it. Steffy said Luna wouldn’t get away with it. Luna replied that nothing would stop her, especially not Steffy. Steffy yelled that Luna wouldn’t do "a damn thing" to her. As Luna walked out of the apartment, Steffy screamed for help and then begged. Alone, Steffy screamed.
