Bill reveals the a future with Katie and Will is all Bill
Bill reveals that a future with Katie and Will is all Bill's been thinking about.

In Eric’s office, Ridge and Taylor hugged. He was puzzled by her philosophical take on the family. Taylor claimed she was just saying how proud she was of the family. He affirmed that he was, too, and that Steffy wasn’t the only one happy Taylor was there—for as long as she'd stay.

Taylor said one never knew what was ahead, so she’d appreciate every moment with her family and the people she loved. Ridge gave her a side hug by the door. Brooke opened the door, saw the hug, and backed out of the office. Recomposing herself, Brooke entered and cheerfully asked if she’d interrupted anything. “Not at all,” Ridge said, kissing Brooke.

Touching her chest, Taylor decided she should go and let them work. Brooke asked if Taylor knew about the Brooke’s Bedroom shoot the next day. Sounding out of breath, Taylor remarked that Steffy had told her about the big event. Ridge said Taylor didn’t have to rush off. Taylor remarked that everyone seemed very happy, and Brooke and Ridge had a lot to look forward to.

Taylor left, and Ridge and Brooke exchanged perplexed glances. Brooke was excited about the shoot, which was good for the family and the company. Ridge remarked that it was good Taylor was back, and Brooke stated her plan to befriend Taylor and be united like never before.

Ridge loved it, and he loved Brooke. The two kissed. He looked pensive, and she asked what was on his mind. He told her to go first, and she wondered if things were okay with Taylor. Brooke wondered if Ridge had sensed that Taylor didn’t seem to be herself. Ridge sighed. Brooke asked if Taylor had mentioned anything. “Like what?” he asked.

Brooke thought Taylor would be thrilled to be home with her family. Ridge replied that Taylor had said as much. “Then why isn’t she happier?” Brooke questioned.

In the design office, Steffy remarked that her parents had a lot of history, and Hope said the same was true of her mom and Ridge. Steffy added that her parents always found their way back together. Hope reminded Steffy that she’d said she wouldn’t play matchmaker. Steffy replied that she was just saying her parents loved each other.

Hope reiterated that Brooke and Ridge were committed to each other, and that wouldn’t change. “Even with my mother back in town?” Steffy asked. Hope wondered if Steffy was saying Taylor was back in town for that reason. Steffy claimed her mother wouldn’t do something like target a relationship. Hope asked if Steffy was implying something about Brooke. Steffy claimed not to be attacking anyone, just stating that no one knew the future.

Steffy insisted that Taylor hadn’t come back for Ridge, knowing he was with Brooke. Hope asked why Taylor had returned "this time." Steffy explained that Taylor wanted to be close to her family. Hope wondered if that was the only reason. Steffy asked if it wasn’t reason enough. Hope decided to wish Taylor’s visit well but said nothing would get between Brooke and Ridge.

Later, Steffy was alone when Taylor arrived. Taylor heaped praise on Steffy for being the kind of woman and role model Steffy was for her daughter. Steffy said Taylor would be there for Kelly, too. When Taylor mentioned talking to Ridge, Steffy’s interest piqued. Taylor chastised her, but Steffy said she wasn’t encouraging anything. Steffy mentioned that she had talked to Hope about it.

Steffy promised not to play matchmaker but admitted it was hard because she could see how much Taylor cared about Ridge, her true love. Taylor felt lucky to have met him, had children with him, and created amazing memories. She couldn’t imagine her life without Ridge in it and would always love him. Looking at Ridge’s picture, she said the memories, especially when Phoebe had been with them, were the best times of her life.

Steffy remarked that Taylor was strong, but losing Phoebe and Ridge had taken a toll on her. Taylor said she was there for her grandchildren, acknowledging that there was no one like Ridge. However, she accepted that he was with Brooke. Taylor said she had to come to terms with it, and Steffy should, too. When Taylor said the couple had a long life ahead, Steffy looked puzzled.

In the showroom, Will was on the phone, declining Donna’s matchmaking pitch. R.J. overheard and ribbed Will about it. Will asked if R.J. really hadn’t known that Luna was a lunatic. Will figured it was a sensitive subject. R.J. replied that she’d fooled many, even having Bill believe she was his daughter.

R.J. wondered why Will was at Forrester instead of Spencer Publications. Will didn’t know what he’d be doing since he'd returned home, and his mom had suggested he work at Forrester. R.J. recalled that Will loved Europe, and R.J. said Will probably wanted to go back. Will agreed but said he missed home and his mother. R.J. said he’d be shocked if Bill let his son work at Forrester. Will replied that it was his choice, and he and R.J. might work together. R.J. didn’t look happy about it.

Bill and Katie were at Bill’s house, and Bill broached the topic of their future. Katie began to balk, but Bill asked her to hear him out. She claimed to know him well, but he claimed to know that his commanding style at the office didn’t go over well in a family that included Katie. He knew there had to be give and take—and a lot of listening, which wasn’t his strong suit—but he needed her to hear him out. He asked her to think about the life they could have with Will.

Katie figured Bill had been thinking about that ever since things with Luna had gone awry. Bill agonized over the choices he’d made. Katie felt he’d done the right thing and couldn’t have known about Luna’s sinister agenda. Bill didn’t want to look back. He just wanted to look forward, and when he did, all he saw was Katie. Taking her hand, he proposed giving Will his family again.

Katie felt like she was about to get a hard sell. Bill said he was all in when he wanted something. He just wanted her to know how he’d gotten to that point. She said it was because his life with Luna and Poppy had fallen apart. Bill replied that he wouldn’t have gone there if Katie hadn’t turned him down. He wasn’t blaming Katie, but he wanted to clarify that it wasn’t a rebound. He wanted to reunite their family and said all he needed was a yes.

Will arrived and asked what Katie was agreeing to. In his parents' silence, he figured that Bill wanted Katie back.

Bill took responsibility for hurting Katie and breaking up their family. He admired that Will protected Katie and looked out for her. Bill told Will that Bill had changed and learned to treasure a woman like Katie. He promised never to hurt or disappoint her or Will again, but he needed Will to be on board with reuniting as a family.

Will asked if Katie wanted that. Katie replied that she was happy Will was home. She was glad they were all spending time together, and she didn’t want anything to ruin it. Will and Katie hugged, and she shed tears, looking at Bill.
