It's a Hard Knock Life for Liam: The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops for the week of April 7, 2025

"He gets knocked down, but he gets up again," could be Liam Spencer's life motto on The Bold and the Beautiful. And Liam actually did get knocked down (well, at least he fell) and got up again after ending up on Dollar Bill's floor last week — at least the first time. The second time he got knocked down? It could have been the time that does him in.

Liam's knock on the noggin leaves us with questions

Liam is used to falling and hitting his head. Sometimes, the incidents are non-consequential, and sometimes, he ends up missing for months thinking his name is Adam and he is married to Eve. This time, he remembers all, knows who he is, and is grateful to Steffy for saving his life the same way he saved hers when she nearly drowned in a bathtub years ago. However, what did we just watch this week?

Steffy found Liam outside Bill's house when it seemed dark outside, yet it was daytime or even lunchtime for everyone else in town. She got Liam to the ER where he was assessed, flatlined, revived, and wheeled into surgery within minutes. Then, after one commercial break, the surgery was over, and Liam was recovering in the same room where he flatlined. Steffy was still there...and had called nobody.

Never mind that Finn was at home waiting with Kelly for Steffy and Liam to get there. Never mind all of Finn's texts and calls that Steffy either missed or ignored. Never mind that Liam just had brain surgery without a family member around to consent. Then, when Steffy did finally go home to freshen up, it was early enough in the day for Kelly to wonder if they were still going to the climbing gym.

By then, Finn had given Kelly lunch, dropped her off at a friend's house, and spent an entire day at work. And...it was still light out...except at Bill's house...

Knock us over the heads, too

Steffy couldn't help but remind Liam that he was family, while all Liam could do was marvel that Steffy had saved his life, after Grace had told him that fact over and over...and over again. The connection! It's still there! Or so we were told...over and over...and over again. With flashbacks.

Then, there's Hope, whose life is a hot mess, as always. But apparently, it wasn't a hot mess when she was married to wishy-washy waffling Liam. No, then everything was stable and secure. Like the time he went to jail for mowing down Vinnie or the time he was a contender in the Steffy Baby Daddy Sweepstakes. According to Deacon, Hope's life didn't become unstable until she ended her marriage to Liam. Sure, Dad.

How heavy-handed could one soap even be as it knocks us over the head with a very clear message: Lope vs. Steam is on again, this time with a brain tumor as the antagonist. Sigh.

Ha ha, no really, ha ha

Carter and Deacon were the highlight of the week | Image: JPI

Deacon drop-kicked Carter this week for betraying his precious little girl. Carter fought back, and hilarity ensued. Bless you, B&B, for giving us such joy and laughter during a busy work week. As Deacon released his inner Cobra Kai, Carter became enraged, and both proved the theory that all men are just little boys inside before Daphne got to break it all up while getting her digs in about Hope.

We needed this. Deacon was the star of the show, calling Daphne "FiFi" and "Frenchie" while showing off considerable martial arts skills. Can we get this every day because it's great for lunch break viewing?

Will there ever be a day in Brooke Logan's life when she is not humiliating herself for Ridge? This week, she needed to strip down to her underwear at work just to have Taylor find her in a Brooke's Bedroom number and not Ridge. After a ho-hum tit for tat argument with Taylor we've heard a billion times before, Brooke and Carter together proved just how one-note they were.

It doesn't matter to Brooke and Carter that Ridge and Hope kicked them out of their lives. They know they will get them back one day. Brooke we can kinda understand cause this is all she has done since college, but Carter? Come on. How deep was this love for Hope that came out of nowhere and was based on Hope using Carter for power? They were barely together for three days before they declared their undying love, and frankly, it's all pretty dumb.

As is Daphne at the door, vowing that Carter will be hers because she is head over heels. Wait, what? How long has she known this man? How much time have they even spent alone together? Where is all this insta-love even coming from?

Pizza delivery from Sheila Jr.

Does it get sillier than this? I Image: CBS

Sheila Carter is the happiest woman on the face of the Earth. She has an offspring (or at least the offspring of an offspring) who actually likes her and wants to be with her. That's a big deal for Sheila. She is also nuts. Just like Sheila. But hey, if you just tell yourself you're not nuts you're really not nuts. At least that's what Sheila told Luna to help her manifest the man she wants.

And that man is Will Spencer. We're not sure why Luna wants someone she's barely said three words to who has absolutely zero interest in her, but she can just join a very large crowd of women (and men) on this show who fall in love in an instant and do ridiculous things to land the object of their affection.

Like don a super bad disguise with a twirly mustache to deliver a pizza. Yes! That will do the trick and get Will to drop Electra like a hot potato. How clever! We're surprised Sheila didn't hand her spawn a red wig, giant glasses, and teach her how to speak with a French accent before sending her on her way.

Till next week, Scoopers, when Liam learns his fate (or at least his doctors do) and Luna channels her inner Brooke Logan.
