Iā€™m the king of the world: The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops for the week of November 25, 2024

Greetings, B&Bā€™ers! Like you, Iā€™m a huge fan of The Bold and the Beautiful, but man, do I have some questions. What are we watching right now? Carter is putting on an amateur hour display on how to take over a company with more SMH moments than I have had watching the Panthers football season thus far. Between Carter and Hope, I'm half expecting to see Jim Carrey doing a Dumb and Dumber cameo.

Justin the nick of time

If you're gonna give your bff the shaft and allow yourself to be led down the garden path by Hope (anyone else think the facial expressions she conjures up as she makes googly eyes at Carter look like a medical emergency is happening?), then for goodness sake step on the throttle and do it! Why is Ridge giving Justin all the time in the world to see what's happening? Just prevent it!

As much as Iā€™d love to rant about Carter and Hope (I still will; just give me a minute), I saw something else that got my attention. Justin Barber has returned to B&B, and donā€™t we all love returning characters and their story arcs? But what is this man really up to? The spoilers have told us that Justin's return is going to be a game-changer.

But what does that mean? Weā€™ve seen Justin previously do some really shifty and downright villainous stuff before. Let's not be too hasty in thinking, "Phew...lucky Ridge reached out to Justin." Let me break down my thinking and see if you agree.

There is a scene in the CEOā€™s office where Justin enters and is appraised of the situation heā€™s there to remedy. After reviewing the LLC documents, Justin told Ridge that he needed to take a copy and go away to confer with a colleague about it.

Where did Justin go to law school? Did he pass the bar or just walk past one? This isnā€™t how the law works, and Justin should know that for several reasons.

At the point that Justin was notified of the situation, Carter hadnā€™t filed the papers ā€” and heā€™d signed them fraudulently. So why didnā€™t Justin sit Ridge down and say something like, ā€œOkay, itā€™s bad but not terrible. Call Carter in here immediately and ask for any and all copies of the LLC papers. Then fire him.ā€

This would then remove the papers from circulation and strip Carter of any authority as COO. Then what would Carter do? Umā€¦not much that he could do, legally speaking. As Carter and Hope keep discussing, the next step is to file the documents, which would be necessary to make the takeover official.

As for the hypothetical firing of Carter, thereā€™s no claim to a wrongful dismissal that I can see, in fact, thereā€™s a list longer than Steffyā€™s reasoning for firing Hope. Other than to make out with his girlfriend and pitch his big idea for expanding Forrester, Carter hasnā€™t actually been to work in months. The one task he was assigned to do was the LLC papers, and he hadnā€™t done them in weeks since being asked. When he finally did, he committed fraud. Seems like a strong case for firing, if there was an HR department at Forrester.

My heart will go on

So how much does Justin already know, and what ā€” if anything ā€” is his ulterior motive here? We know that soaps donā€™t always mirror real life, but when we look at the way Justin handled what Ridge told him, alarm bells went off. Sure, Justin was brought down a few notches when his own corporate coup was foiled, but heā€™s hardly the meek and mild type.

And yeah, sure, last time he was involved, Justin was a ā€œchanged man.ā€ But is he, though? When Luna killed Tom and Hollis this summer, the list grew of possible suspects. Viewers caught a glimpse of Justin at the concert at Il Giardino the night of the murders, and everyone thought it was possible that Justin was the guilty party. So, has he really changed his spots, or should we trust the guts of B&B fans who know better and know heā€™s rotten to the core?

If you're asking my professional opinion (and let's pretend you did), I think Justin is the iceberg, and Forrester Creations is the Titanic. The course has been set, and weā€™ve all got our eyes glued to the front of the ship where Carter and Hope have arms spread. Is that Celine Dion, I hear? Justin's re-entrance in the midst of the company imploding is just the tip of the...you know where Iā€™m going with this by now.

It's not stalking, it's love from afar

Itā€™s a short week for B&B, but still, a lot has happened. We have Electra and the return of some painful memories from her past brought on by a familiar face arriving in townā€¦aaaand now we finally know the painful past that Electra has alluded to but hadnā€™t revealed until now: Someone released what can only be assumed is nude images of Electra via deepfakes, and circulated them around her old town.

We don't know who did this yet, and apparently, neither does she. Of course, we were enlightened to something she wasnā€™t: Glimpses of Remy sitting in a dark room wearing a hoodie, surrounded by a collage of photos behind him on the wall like an homage to Electra, but, come on, who doesn't do this? That's normal, right? All of us couch Matlocks have already pegged this dude as the next Richard Ramirez. Even my first glimpses of the guy gave off massive stalker vibes, one look, and I was all, ā€œYup, this guyā€™s a mess, lock his creepy ass up.ā€ To keep within stalker parameters, Remy has charmed his way into a job at Il Giardino and inserted himself into Electraā€™s scene. Heā€™s not even just working nearby and will see her on the off-chance that she comes to Deaconā€™s for lunch, but heā€™s living there, too. So now he can be anywhere in the vicinity of Forrester, and itā€™ll seem justified. Like I said, creepy.

Spoilers have promised that Remy will prove to be bad news sooner or later so we are just going to have to hurry up and wait. This could actually be quite a cool storyline to follow and I'm looking forward to seeing it play out, even if its just a distraction from the slowest corporate hostile takeover ever. Is Remy connected to anyone else on the show?

He gives a Sheila Carter vibe, which could be because heā€™s literally hanging out in the same restaurant that she works at, but conveniently, she hasnā€™t been around since Remy came to town. Is there a reason for that?

What ifā€¦and this could just be wishful thinking, but what if Remy is connected to Sheila already? Why else let them cross paths? It would be a stretch to think that Sheila would have some grudge against Will or Electra or be involved with Remyā€™s stalking. But it takes one to know one, and if sheā€™s around him, surely sheā€™d pick up on his weird energy and recognize a kindred soul.

Butā€¦I think we can place bets that it wonā€™t turn out that Remy is yet another long-lost kid of Bill Spencer, but what if heā€™s someone else? I mean, everyone new almost always turns out to be related to someone. Could Remy be the grandson of Sheila? Is he Daisy or Ryderā€™s son? Or does Diana Carter still exist? It would take a helluva history lesson, but anythingā€™s possible.

We're all a little crazy here

Before I sign off here, I jaw-dropped in a what-in-the-Arkham-Asylum-heck-is-happening-here moment at Hope's cabin. In the scene where Brooke comes in and tells Hope that she has overheard everything and has just come from Ridge's office, Hope is a woman on the edge and quickly losing her grip on reality. Brooke said she knew about the coup and asked Hope what she was thinking (trying to take over Forrester). The transformation from Hope to Harley Quinn happens fast. Hope screams, "You tell me, you were the one who heard everything!" Um..you don't know what you were thinking?

I know you all looked at Hopes's face and saw a wild-eyed, almost deranged look that could have gone in any direction. Brooke sure did. Hope looks like the cheese slid right off her cracker. Trying to justify a coup and the betrayal of Ridge by his supposed best friend by saying they tried to get Ridge to see reason and that they were left with no choice? Didn't Carter himself say that Hope's line was failing and it was bad for business before all this mess started?

Yes, Hope has an issue with Steffy. You can even include all the years that Hope should have had an issue with Steffy. And yes, Hope was upset she was fired, and her line was canceled, and she can even be mad at Ridge for his standing by his daughter. But why do this to Eric?

This company is his life and HIS legacy, and the poor dude is already in poor health. Even Dr. Finn, Medicine Woman, warned Deacon that he thought Hope needed some professional help. It appears that Hope has really lost touch with all reason. Will Brooke be able to get through to her daughter before it gets worse? I'm not even sure what worse is. We saw the previews for next week and Hope telling Brooke that the papers are already filed. Wowā€¦but does she mean Carter did it? Or was it Justin? Will Carter be served up like turkey? Or is Forrester Creations really going to slip away from Ridge and Steffy?

So many great scenes in such a short week! I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm already jonesing for my next turkey dinner, and another dose of B&B.
