How Thomas' return changes everything for The Bold and the Beautiful

The Bold and the Beautiful is giving Thope fans what they want and bringing Matthew Atkinson's Thomas back onto the L.A. fictional fashion scene. But Thomas' return won't just affect Hope Logan and her failed fashion line. It can have ripple effects throughout the canvas.

When Thomas first left Los Angeles in March of last year, he was feeling dejected and rejected because Hope (Annika Noelle) had turned down his marriage proposal twice in three months. She finally said she loved him, but wasn't ready to marry and wanted to continue wearing his ring on a chain around her neck.

That wasn't good enough for Thomas, so he took Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) and landed in Paris, where he met Paris (Diamond White) and allegedly fell in love with her. Hope was stunned when Thomas briefly returned in June, only to tell her he was going to marry Paris.

After a weird flirtation with Finn (Tanner Novlan), it took a while for Hope to put her life back together. Now, she is happily engaged to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and relieved that Liam (Scott Clifton) will live, so she can plan her wedding. With Thomas back in the picture, all of that is bound to change. There is unfinished business between them, for sure, but there is also Hope For The Future.

Steffy has not yet given the go-ahead to restart Hope's fashion line, but Thomas has always been the one who made it a success. Will Hope's personal and professional dreams come true — all because of Thomas?

Daphne's chance

With Hope distracted, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) has the perfect opportunity to go in for the kill. She wants Carter Walton in the worst way and has just been waiting for her opening.

She thought it was there when she believed Hope and Liam had reunited, but it was a false alarm, so Daphne flew back to Paris with her tail between her legs. She is back now and picked up right where she left off, flirting with Cater every chance she gets. Will we learn that she knows Thomas from the city of love? Might he know exactly what is going on between Hope and Carter?

What about Liam?

Liam has never been the biggest Thomas fan, and with good reason. Thomas always interfered with Liam's relationship with Hope, and she eventually left Liam to be with Thomas.

While Liam believed he was dying, he and Hope grew closer than they had been in years. Now that Liam knows he is going to live, many have wondered if Hope and Liam would gravitate toward one another again. With Thomas returning, that old triangle can heat up once again.

A sibling for Steffy

Steffy may be on an extended vacation now as Jacqueline MacInnes Wood enjoys her maternity leave, but she will be back this fall and will finally have her brother back with her. Steffy has seemed a little lost without Thomas because she has to always stick her nose in his business.

Plus, Steffy and Hope have been getting along way too well in recent months. We know Steffy will go into protective mode again when she sees Thomas around Hope, so that old rivalry is about to be new again.
