How The Bold and the Beautiful's Romy Park bonded with Y&R's Michael Graziadei

On The Bold and the Beautiful, freestyling Poppy Nozawa has lived her life enjoying life free of commitments. In real life, Poppy’s actress Romy Park remains committed to keeping a soft spot in her heart for her true love: dogs.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Must Love Dogs

As a guest on Bold Live!, the podcast series hosted by The Bold and the Beautiful Supervising Producer Casey Kasprzyk, fans noted a picture of dogs in the background of where Romy Park was calling in from during the video chat.

Romy explained that the dogs in the photos were her pets who had passed, named Versace and Bear. Romy wears a Versace bracelet in honor of her dog and gratefully noted that the B&B wardrobe department allowed her to wear it in scenes as she didn’t want to take it off. Her dog, Bear, sadly passed away just two weeks after Romy was hired on the CBS show. She wears a necklace to commemorate the memory of Bear.

Romy admitted that the show's pace was much faster than other genres and didn’t give her a lot of time to study lines or build her character. When she jumped back into her role a few months ago, she was filming emotional scenes and shared that she could cry on command by using a technique she learned while studying in England.

The acting style requires using external experiences to tap into inner feelings. Romy said she doesn’t think about her dogs every time she is required to cry as it would affect her too much, but it is definitely a topic that doesn’t take much to move her to tears. On Romy’s Instagram, she has shared her love of ballet. She posted a video recently of her holding a dog and noted tearfully that it was the first time she’d had a dog in the studio since she held Bear.

Michael Graziadei stars on B&B’s sister show The Young and the Restless as Danny Romalotti. The two CBS shows’ studios are located next to each other. Graziadei recently shared with fans that his family lost their beloved pet, Mr. Pancakes. “There aren’t words or a tribute or a post that can convey how much we loved this dog,” he posted in a loving tribute to the “yappiest dog in the world” in November.

Romy posted photos this morning of her back at work at the studio of The Bold and the Beautiful after the holiday break. She ran into Graziadei and stopped to talk because he was holding his new Pomeranian puppy and she just had to take pics of the little cutie and post them on her Instagram.

Hours later, she posted again. This time, she explained that her close friends, Mike and Krista King, have a friend who works for Y&R. Although Romy knew they knew someone at the sister show, she never knew who it was. “Today, I saw [Michael Graziadei, Daniel Romalotti, Y&R] holding his new Pom puppy and having been a Pom mom twice, I stopped him. We took a photo, and I asked his permission to post it. That’s when I noticed he was following our mutual friends Mike and Krista, and we made the connection! Michael Graziadei and I wouldn’t have met otherwise. Dogs bring people together,” Romy posted.
