In Eric’s office, Ridge ranted to R.J. about Steffy leaving. He said he understood that she had her stresses, but with kids and a family, she had to have some responsibility. R.J. spaced out, causing Ridge to express concern. R.J. admitted that he was worried about Luna. He mentioned that he hadn’t seen much of her and only bumped into her occasionally. Confused, Ridge had assumed Luna would lean on R.J. more than ever. R.J. had thought the same, but Luna had been distant and guarded. He wasn’t her go-to confidant anymore. “Bill is,” R.J. stated.
Ridge was surprised to hear that but figured Bill was doing the right thing by not completely cutting Luna off. R.J. said it made sense because Luna and Bill had connected as a family before finding out they weren’t related. Ridge reasoned that it had to be hard for Bill, who wanted to be there for Luna, but Ridge felt that R.J. should to be there for his girlfriend, too. R.J. wasn’t so sure he and Luna were serious anymore.
The statement surprised Ridge. R.J. explained that he’d understand if Luna needed time alone, but whenever he tried to text or be there for her, she’d say she needed to spend more time with Bill. Ridge asked why that was, noting that Bill wasn’t the needy type. Ridge suggested that Luna needed to look elsewhere and consider what others needed, like R.J. Ridge couldn’t even understand why Luna was still living with Bill. R.J. said he didn’t feel like he knew her anymore.
Ridge and R.J.'s conversation shifted back to Steffy’s absence. Ridge said Steffy could take care of herself, so his concern was more about him and his own worries. R.J. recalled a time when Ridge had relentlessly texted him. Ridge said a father should always know where his son was, including the hotel and room number. R.J. understood and wondered if Steffy had had an emergency.

Ridge told his son not to put that idea into the air. R.J. asked if Steffy had requested pictures of the kids or anything like that. Ridge assured R.J. that if anyone could find her, it would be Finn.
In the condemned building, Steffy sat on the floor, wasting away. She’d refused to eat or drink for days because she didn’t trust Luna. She screamed for help, but Luna shoved more water into the cage, saying no one would hear Steffy. Luna taunted that, with the building scheduled for demolition, Steffy would never see her family again. Luna then left to spend time with Bill, and Steffy fainted.
In Finn’s office, Finn was uneasy about not hearing from Steffy. He received a call from Flavia Sofia in Monte Carlo. Finn asked if Steffy was with her, but Flavia said Steffy had never arrived at the clinic. Finn admitted that he hadn’t known where Steffy had been going and had respected her wishes by not tracking her down. Finn was alarmed to hear from Flavia that Steffy had made a reservation at the clinic but had never arrived there or canceled the appointment.
At Bill’s house, Bill served Luna some tea. Luna claimed to be upset that Bill wasn’t the father she’d been waiting for and that “someone” had killed her real father, Tom Starr. She mentioned visiting Poppy and how the guards hadn’t even let her hug her mom. Bill couldn’t fathom that Poppy had done those terrible things. Luna replied that she couldn’t, either. She wished it had been someone else and prayed they’d find evidence to exonerate Poppy, but she didn’t know when to stop fooling herself or forgive her mom for killing her dad.
Luna hugged Bill and then decided to go upstairs. She thanked him for not turning his back on her. Bill assured her that he never would, and she grinned.
Later, Finn arrived, and Bill assumed Finn wanted to talk about his aunt and cousin. Finn said he was actually concerned about his wife, who’d been to see Liam there. Bill asked if something had happened besides Hope kissing Finn and upsetting Steffy. Finn admitted that he wasn’t sure if he was being paranoid, but he didn’t know where Steffy was. He said that Liam and Bill might have been the last two people to see her. That sounded pretty ominous to Bill.
Finn insisted he was trying not to overreact. He asked if Steffy had said anything to Bill. Bill only knew that Steffy had been upset about Hope’s kiss. Finn didn’t blame Steffy and said he’d messed up with Sheila, too. Bill asked if Finn had done anything to lead Hope on. Finn said he hadn’t done anything that he was aware of, but Steffy had asked him not to hang out with Hope. Bill remarked that Finn was dealing with the fallout.
Finn pointed out that it had been days without a word. Steffy hadn’t called to talk to the kids, answered her phone, or replied to text messages. Finn hoped Bill could help him find Steffy.
Luna then walked in, asking Bill if he wanted to join her for a swim. She noticed Finn and asked why he was there. Finn explained that he was having trouble locating Steffy, who’d gone out of town. Luna was sure Steffy was fine. Finn asked what Luna was doing there. “Me?” she asked. Bill explained that he’d invited Luna to stay after Poppy’s arrest.
Luna said it was amazing that Bill still cared about her, and Bill added that she needed all the support she could get. He noted that she wasn’t alone because she had Finn and her aunt, too. Luna then asked Bill to help her sync her television with her phone. Finn’s brow rose in suspicion. Bill agreed but asked Finn to stick around until Bill got back.
Alone, Finn called Steffy, but it went to voicemail. He felt deep inside that something was wrong.
A song played as Steffy and Finn thought of each other. Steffy cried in the cell, saying she needed him and their family. A montage of memories shared by them played on the screen. Steffy begged him to help her. At Bill’s house, Finn declared that he was coming.
