The actors are well-known for portraying their B&B characters, but you may be surprised to learn that some are also related to famous people.

Actor Ethan Wayne, who played B&B’s Storm Logan from 1987-1988, 1994, 2000, 2001, and 2003, is the son of the legendary actor John Wayne.

Carrie Mitchum, who played the original role of Donna Logan in 1987-1991, 1994-96, and 2001, is the granddaughter of actor Robert Mitchum and was once married to actor Casper Van Dien.

In 2006, Ben Hogestyn played the role of Harry Jackson, who refurbished Nick Marone’s boat, The Shady Marlin, and had a flirtation with Phoebe Forrester. As you probably guessed by the name, Ben is the son of the late Drake Hogestyn, who played John Black on Days of our Lives.

John McCook is one of the two longest-running actors on The Bold and the Beautiful. Like co-star Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan, B&B), McCook has been on the show since its first episode, playing family patriarch Eric Forrester. In real life, McCook is married to Laurette Spang, best known for her role as Casseiopia on the original Battlestar Galactica. One of their three children is actress Molly McCook of Last Man Standing. He also has a son with his famous ex-wife, dancer and actress Juliette Prowse.

The original Sally Spectra was portrayed by Darlene Conley. Her first husband was film, stage, radio and voice actor, William T. Woodson. You might remember his voice from the opening of The Odd Couple.

Katherine Kelly Lang plays Brooke Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful. She is the daughter of Olympic ski jumper Keith R. Wegeman and actress Judith Lang, the granddaughter of Oscar-winning cinematographer Charles Lang.

Connected to stars of The Young and the Restless

Crew Morrow, who currently plays Will Spencer, doesn’t have far to walk to visit his dad. Crew’s father, Joshua Morrow, is Nick Newman on The Young and the Restless. B&B’s sister show tapes just down the hall.

Heather Tom, who plays Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful, has two siblings who are also actors. Her brother, David Tom, played Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless, and her sister, Nicholle Tom, made her mark on the TV sitcom The Nanny with Fran Drescher.

Will’s half-brother Wyatt Spencer hasn’t been seen most of the year, but the actor who plays him has been busy on other projects. In real life, actor Darin Brooks is married to Kelly Kruger, best known for her role as Mackenzie Browning on The Young and the Restless.

Hunter Tylo played Dr. Taylor Hayes for many years. She was married from 1987 to 2005 to the late Michael Tylo. Soap fans may remember him as twins Blade and Rick Bladeson on The Young and the Restless. He also appeared on All My Children and General Hospital but was perhaps best known for his role as Quentin Chamberlain on Guiding Light.

Ronn Ross originated the role of Ridge Forrester, and played the part from 1987 to 2012. He was married to actress Shari Shattuck, who portrayed Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless from 1996 to 1999.
