On The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric Forrester is determined not to leave anything up to fate. He’s going all out to get his son Ridge back together with Brooke, but how far will he go?
Destiny on The Bold and the Beautiful

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) has always maintained that she and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) are meant for one another. “You’re my destiny” (or vice versa) is an often-used phrase between them. Except, when it’s not.
Ridge and Brooke have been married eight times. Eight. And in between those eight weddings, there have been multiple affairs, other relationships, and marriages. So many, in fact, that four out of five of Brooke’s children aren’t even Ridge’s.
Ridge and Brooke split up this last (er…most recent) time because of a few factors. The Forresters (including Eric) felt that Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope (Annika Noelle) stole their company when they tricked Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge into signing their authority over to Carter. Ridge was obviously upset and called Hope some names, while Brooke defended Hope and expected Ridge to cordially break bread with her at the dinner table.
Ridge walked, and then Carter and Hope asked Brooke to be CEO, as Ridge’s replacement. She accepted but didn’t tell Ridge that she was only doing it to get the company back (let’s not even start following that bouncing ball through her train of thought), and, well, Ridge didn’t wait for an explanation. He just went directly to Taylor and Steffy and said he finally understood that Brooke was drama that he didn’t need, and that Taylor had always been his rock. Whether or not his memory for details is intact is another issue, but that was his choice, and so far, he’s stuck to it.
That’s amore

We got through mistletoe season and Valentine’s Day on The Bold and the Beautiful without Ridge faltering back to Brooke, but now that the Forresters are back at their namesake company, Eric apparently just wants everything to go back to the way that it was, regardless of anyone else.
But how far is he willing to take this? Supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk recently shared with viewers that he was in Italy, looking for shooting locations. Italy, you say? How interesting, considering Eric tried to replicate Brooke’s Portofino wedding dress for the fashion show’s showstopper moment. He had dug up the video of Brooke arriving by boat for the ceremony in the dress, and then he and Brooke claimed they knew Ridge remembered “the magic” of the moment by seeing her on the runway in a similar dress.
Will Eric suggest they capitalize on the fashion show’s press and travel to Italy to promote Forrester? Ridge and Brooke had the keyhole moment there, and of course, the Portofino wedding. But would he actually hope that being back in Italy will push Ridge into Brooke’s arms? Of course he would.
If they were in another Italian port city, maybe there would be more there from the romantic memory banks…like a conveniently timed arrival of boat captain Nick Marone (Jack Wagner), perhaps?
