Li uses true Nozawa power on Luna.

In the condemned apartment building, Steffy told Finn she was okay and that he needed to stop Luna from getting away. Concerned with getting Steffy out of the cage and to a hospital, Finn stated that he’d called Chief Baker, and Luna wouldn’t get away.

Steffy said she’d known Finn would find her and save her. Steffy clung to the cage to hold herself up. He asked when she’d last had food or water. She didn’t know and hadn’t trusted anything Luna had given her. Finn found a safe bottle of water, and Steffy guzzled it down.

Finn shook the cage. Steffy said Luna had the key, and Finn took off to find something to pry the lock off the cage. He worked on it, to no avail. Steffy told him the building was a construction zone that would soon be torn down. He didn’t want to leave her, but she convinced him to go and find a crowbar or tool to break the lock. He said he’d be back soon.

Later, Finn returned with a square beam the size of a baseball bat. He hit the lock, broke it, and opened the cage. He grabbed Steffy and dragged her out. Music with church bells played as they held each other.

At the gate at the ground floor of the building, Li caught up with Luna and accused her of kidnapping Steffy and killing those men. Luna tried to shove Li out of her way, but Li pushed back, saying Luna wouldn’t go anywhere but prison after framing her own mother. Luna told Li not to pretend to care about Poppy, whom Li hated. Li said she didn’t hate Poppy.

Luna replied that Li rightly disapproved of the awful Poppy. Luna claimed that Poppy had been on drugs half the time, bringing home random men. Luna said Poppy had never cared about Luna's needs, but Luna had finally found stability. Bill would have given her everything she wanted. Luna wouldn’t give that up and ordered Li to get out of her way. “No,” Li replied.

Luna was angry that suddenly Li wanted to do the right thing. Shoving Li, Luna said, “When you never stepped in before?” Luna said Li had let her walking disaster of a sister do whatever she'd wanted in raising Luna. Li had looked the other way but could have made a difference if she hadn’t been consumed with outrage at Poppy. Luna claimed Li could have helped Poppy be a better mother. Luna asked if Li knew how jealous Luna had been of Finn’s life.

Li replied that she’d offered Poppy plenty of advice, but Poppy had ignored it, determined to mess up her life. Luna yelled that Poppy had been about to mess it all up again with Tom Starr in town. Luna didn’t even know if Starr really was her father because there had been so many candidates. Li asked why Luna had felt the need to kill him then.

Luna replied that Tom had been convinced. Luna had read all his letters, and she couldn’t afford him to put questions in Bill’s mind. Luna hadn’t wanted to kill Hollis for showing her the letters, but she couldn’t have let him jeopardize what she’d worked so hard to create—becoming Bill’s daughter. Li decided that Luna was worse than Poppy, who wasn’t a murderer or kidnapper. Li asked how Luna could do that to her cousin’s wife.

Luna ordered Li to get out of her way. Luna tried to run past Li, but Li picked Luna up like a doll and slammed her on the ground. “Nozawa power,” Li quietly uttered. Baker rushed in with cops flanking him. “Here’s your murderer,” Li told him.

Later, an officer handcuffed Luna, and Baker told Li that Finn had called him to the scene after explaining everything. Li asserted that she was happy to turn over the real killer and kidnapper, Luna Nozawa.

At Bill’s house, Katie and Bill met about Will. Bill had had a long talk with Will about what had gone on with Luna and Poppy. Bill figured that all wasn’t lost, and Will and Luna could still be friends. Katie didn’t think the scam Poppy had pulled on Bill would make a great start to a new friendship for Luna and Will. Bill still couldn’t fathom that Poppy was capable of murder.

Katie could understand that Bill wouldn’t want to think the woman he’d thought was the mother of his child was a homicidal maniac, but the evidence was overwhelming. Bill asserted that he wasn’t convinced and was worried Poppy would go away for life for something she hadn’t done. In his mind, a sentence for Poppy was a sentence for Luna, and it wasn’t fair.

As Bill began to explain to Katie that Luna had started to see him differently, he received a call from Justin, who informed Bill of some exciting information. Bill said he’d head there immediately to be there when “she” found out. After the call, Bill told Katie that he’d been right; Poppy hadn’t killed Tom or Hollis.

Katie asked who’d done it. Bill insisted that Justin’s contact at the department was legit, and they’d soon find out who’d done it. Bill left to give Poppy the good news.

At the jail, a guard led Poppy into the visitation room. She asked why she was there, and the officer said Poppy would find out soon enough. She noted that she wasn’t cuffed. Soon, Bill arrived and requested a moment alone with Poppy. The guard left. Bill explained that Justin had learned some information, and Bill had confirmed it. Poppy asked what it was.

Bill stated that the police had apprehended the real killer of Tom and Hollis, and Poppy was being released. Poppy began sobbing. She asked if they knew she was innocent and would let her go. Bill affirmed it and said he’d known she wasn’t capable of it. He hugged her, and she asked if he knew who’d done it.

Just then, Chief Baker arrived. Poppy asked if he’d caught the real killer. He said they had. Poppy asked who’d killed the men. In walked Luna, led by an officer. Poppy announced that Luna was just in time to hear that Poppy hadn’t done it, and the real killer had been caught.

Luna was silent. Poppy asked what was wrong. Bill and Luna exchanged knowing glances.

At the cliff house, Finn carried in Steffy. He wanted to take her to the hospital, but she said after giving her police statement, she just wanted to be home with him, eat, and get love from the kids. Finn said the kids would be there later, but he wanted her to get her strength back before seeing them. She agreed that she wasn’t physically or mentally there yet. He again suggested they go to the hospital, but she opted to do it in the morning.

Steffy said she didn’t know if she’d have “this” again. Finn didn’t, either. He said he’d been thinking about her the whole time. Steffy stated that their connection had helped her through it all. She’d been scared in the cage, but she'd known he’d rescue her. She'd put all her faith in that, and he’d done it. He’d been there. Their love had guided him to her, and he was her hero.
