Ridge asked Brooke why she had not kept Rick away from Phoebe's funeral. Rick had no right to be there according to Ridge. Brooke defended Rick and said it was important for Rick to pay his respects to Phoebe just like the rest of the family. Rick was grieving she said. Ridge said if Brooke expected him to feel sorry for Rick she would be disappointed. Ridge made it clear he did NOT feel sorry for Rick.
Brooke assured Ridge she wanted to do everything possible to be there for him during this crisis, and asked what she could do to help him get through it. Ridge said he just buried his daughter and it was too soon to talk about getting through it. Stephanie called and asked Ridge to stop by the house. He agreed and Brooke insisted she wanted to come along. Ridge said no, Stephanie asked to see him alone. Brooke supposed that Stephanie wanted to see ridge alone so she could try to convince him to press charges against Rick.
Ridge said Stephanie was devastated like everyone else. Brooke agreed but pointed out that Stephanie hated Rick. Ridge said considering the circumstance that was understandable. Brooke said no, it was not understandable. She said no one should hate Rick, he hated himself plenty and that was punishment enough. Brooke said if Ridge loved her, he would not give into Stephanie and would give her son a break. Ridge said he was very angry at Rick, but he would not allow Stephanie to put Rick behind bars because of his love for Brooke. Ridge said he and Brooke would deal with Rick. Brooke told Ridge she loved him very much.

Donna asked Owen if he would be able try work with her considering their personal issues. Owen said they had no choice, they had to put the personal matters aside and just get to work. Grace walked in and Owen said he would like to use her as a fit model. Grace had the right figure and looked remarkably like Donna, Owen mentioned. Donna agreed, but said she would have to run it by Eric and Thorne. Thorne walked in and was shocked to see Grace, the woman he hired to impersonate Donna, in Owen's office. Donna asked Thorne if he thought Grace looked like her. He said perhaps a little bit. Donna mentioned that she and Owen considered using Grace as a model. Thorne asked if he could speak to her alone. Thorne reminded Grace that she had been paid very well to do a job, and the job was over. Thorne strongly suggested that she leave and never return to Forrester again. Grace said she looked a lot like Donna and asked Thorne if the job he paid her for had anything to do with Donna. Grace put two and two together and realized Thorne had asked her to pose as Donna to break up Donna and Eric.
Thorne changed his tune and told Grace he might be able to find a position for her at Forrester International. Owen overheard bits and piece of their conversation and implored Grace to tell him what was really going on.
Stephanie told Eric that it was a good thing they had reconciled because their family truly needed them at this difficult time of grieving for Phoebe. Eric agreed and said the family would all need support, including Rick. Stephanie said it was wrong for Rick to attend the service, and mentioned that she asked Brooke to keep Rick away. Eric said Rick needed closure like everyone else in the family. Stephanie said if Rick needed closure, he should turn himself into the police. Eric looked totally mortified by what Stephanie said. Stephanie said she understood that Eric would want to protect Rick but Eric said there was nothing to protect Rick from because he hadn't done anything wrong. Stephanie said she didn't want to upset him further and went home.
Eric's mind wandered and he started to have flashbacks of what he had seen on the security camera. He asked how Donna could have done that to him. Donna walked in and said she was so sorry for what happened to Phoebe. She wished aloud that she could be there to help Eric through the loss.
When Eric didn't answer, Donna apologized and said perhaps she should not have said that. Eric said perhaps not. When bad things happen, Donna wanted Eric to know he was in her heart. Eric said that was kind of her to say. Donna asked if he believed her. Eric said he believed Donna cared about him, but added she had another life. Donna appeared puzzled. She said her only other life was one without Eric, and a life without love. She said perhaps someday she would feel something for someone but it would never be the same Eric said she didn't mean that. Donna said Eric was the man by whom she would judge all others and no one would ever measure up. Eric thought back to the images of Donna cheating on him. Donna noticed the cold shoulder and asked what was going on. She asked Eric why he looked at her like he hated her. She said it was almost as if she had done something to hurt him.
Ridge arrived and asked Stephanie if she wanted to see him about Rick. She asked if he had been talking to Brooke. Ridge said yes, and Stephanie said in her opinion, Brooke could not be objective. Ridge pointed out that Stephanie wasn't objective either. She conceded the point and said no one in that position could be. She said if the conversation could wait for a month, she would wait, but it could not wait. Stephanie said that if Rick was not punished for what he had done, it would just make everyone suffer more. Ridge said he can't imagine suffering more. He informed Stephanie that he would handle Rick personally and that no charges would be filed. Stephanie asked how he intended to handle Rick. He said she should not worry about it. It had to be about justice she said, not vengeance.
Stephanie said Ridge had to put it in the hands of the court and allow them to handle it. She said if he did not pursue it, Rick would never have any consequences for his actions. Ridge would not be able to love with himself the rest of his life, Stephanie predicted.
