On The Bold and the Beautiful episode on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Ridge got under Carter’s skin, talked (and listened) to Brooke, and saw who actually runs the show.

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) embraced for the first time in what feels like forever, and of course, Hope (Annika Noelle) saw it firsthand from the office doorway. Inheriting eavesdropping skills from her mother, Hope interrupted at a prime moment to ask Ridge why he was there. Ridge claimed to feel nostalgic about his stuff in the office that was once his. Hope invited Ridge back, but reminded him about the new power structure. Carter seemed subservient when Hope told off Ridge. Ridge said Hope claimed to love Carter, then asked if he looked loved. “He looks like the guilt is just eating him up from the inside because he betrayed his family,” Ridge told her.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, sometimes

Hope began on her usual rant about Carter, how wonderful he was, what a great job he was doing running the company, and that the jewelry line was a huge success because of him. Ridge watched curiously as Hope’s compliments didn’t hit the same. This time, Carter looked slumped with his head down and looking deflated. Seeing this, Ridge pointed at Carter and said to him, “You don't even wear the crown, do you.” Then, before walking out of the CEO’s office, Ridge adds, “Ill-gotten gains.” Hope's smile vanished, and Carter looked like he knew Ridge was right.

Just come back to me

After leaving the CEO’s office, Ridge was pacing around. Brooke spotted him and asked him if he could come in and talk to her in the design office. Daphne and Zende saw them go in and shut the door, and they wondered what was happening. Brooke assured Ridge that Forrester wasn't the same without him, and it had been really hard on her, too. She told Ridge that no one knew, but she was trying to keep up the pretense of being CEO while trying to talk to Carter and get him to give the company back to the Forresters. Brooke said that was the only reason she took the role and would give it up and return it to Ridge anytime he wanted it. Finally, Brooke added that while Forester had changed, she had not, and she was still the same person he loved and wanted him to come home. “Just come back to me,” Brooke cried.
