The Bold and the Beautiful's John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang have been bringing Eric and Brooke to life from the start.
When The Bold and the Beautiful debuted on March 23, 1987, it featured Eric Forrester as the head of the Forrester family and fashion house, throwing a grand soire. One of the catering waiters at this soiree was a young college student named Brooke Logan. Played by John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang since day one, Eric and Brooke are still going strong today.
In fact, McCook and Lang are the only two original B&B cast members who remain with the show. To mark the 37-year milestone, the soap's supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, shared two tribute reels to Instagram, honoring and thanking the legendary actors for their hard work through the years.
"Happy 37th Anniversary to The Bold and the Beautiful's John McCook! John is known around the world as the sophisticated fashion designer Eric Forrester, but behind the scenes, Mr McCook is the heart and soul of the show. Cheers, John! We love you," Kasprzyk wrote next to a series of photos of both McCook and Eric through the years.

For Lang, Kasprzyk shared a slideshow of 37 individual photos, one of every year the actress has breathed life into Brooke.
"Today, Katherine Kelly Lang celebrates her 37th Anniversary playing the one and only 'Brooke Logan' on The Bold and the Beautiful. What a journey Brooke has been on over the years, creating memories that will last forever!"
Over the last 37 years, Eric and Brooke married twice and share two adult children, Rick and Bridget. Brooke has also married Eric's son Ridge seven times and is planning an eighth trip down the aisle (and she married Eric's son Thorne once, too). At least she and Eric have remained BFFs through the decades, and we expect many more years to come.
