Clint Howard lands new mysterious role on The Bold and the Beautiful

Veteran actor Clint Howard will make his Bold and Beautiful debut in April.

It looks like a new mystery may be developing on The Bold and the Beautiful, as Clint Howard, brother to actor and director Ron Howard of Happy Days fame, has been cast as Tom, a homeless man who will provide clues in a new soapy plot.

According to Deadline, Howard began taping his scenes on March 18, and they're set to air on April 28 and 29.

Howard began his career on The Andy Griffith Show along with his brother, who had a starring role as Opie Taylor. While Ron remained on the half-hour sitcom throughout its run, Clint moved on to his own show, Gentle Ben, in 1967.

Other TV credits through the years include Bonanza, The Patty Duke Show, Please Don't Eat the Daisies, and Happy Days. He also appeared in several movies his brother has directed like Splash, Parenthood, and Far and Away. His only other soap opera credit is the NBC's now-defunct Santa Barbara.

How Tom is involved in current B&B story remains to be seen. Does he have any information on what happened to Sheila Carter? (She can't really be dead, right?) Perhaps he holds the answer to the identity of Luna's father. Then again, maybe we can expect a whole new storyline to bring added mystery to the show. Stay tuned to find out.
