Ted King brings Jack Finnegan back to The Bold and the Beautiful

Daytime Emmy-winning actor Ted King is reprising his role as The Bold and the Beautiful's Jack Finnegan, who has been absent during the storyline in which his son, Finn (Tanner Novlan), was "murdered."

The Bold and the Beautiful is bringing Ted King back in the role of Jack Finnegan, and not a moment too soon!

Jack has been oddly absent since his son, Finn (Tanner Novlan), was pronounced dead after being shot by his birth mom, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). It has since been revealed to fans that Finn's adoptive mom, Li (Naomi Matsuda), actually faked Finn's death and has been secretly caring for her ailing son. But during Wednesday's episode of the CBS soap opera, Sheila caused a car accident that seemingly killed Li, which could leave Finn in dire straits!

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, King will be back on the canvas during the week of July 4. However, mum's the word on exactly what B&B has planned for the character's return.

As Soap Central reported during the Daytime Emmys Creative Arts & Lifestyle Awards last weekend, King took home top honors in the Outstanding Guest Performer category for his work as Jack Finnegan last year. Upon accepting his Emmy award, the veteran actor (ex-Lorenzo and Luis Alcazar, General Hospital; ex-Tomas Delgado, One Life to Live; ex-Danny Roberts, The City/Loving) confessed that his fear of not winning had kept him from submitting himself for Emmy consideration in the past.

"I am very proud to be part of this category. A little quote. 'Our doubts are traitors that make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.' William Shakespeare. I just want to say that I doubted I would win this for years. It kept me from participating. I teach my kids not to fail and yet I was afraid to participate," King said. "Inevitably, as you all know, it's the failures that make us better creators."
