B&B's Scott Clifton dishes on Liam's HUGE predicament

The Bold and the Beautiful's Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) has one hell of a secret that he must keep under wraps, but portrayer Scott Clifton says his alter ego "is gonna be not good at this!"

This week, everything changed in the blink of an eye for The Bold and the Beautiful's Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who is devastated beyond belief after accidentally plowing over somebody while driving with his father, Bill (Don Diamont). That someone was revealed to be (spoiler alert!!!) Joe LoCicero's Vincent Walker, who seemed to die on the side of the road. But that was just the start of the drama.

As fans watched in the Tuesday, April 6, episode of the CBS soap opera, a shocked Liam fainted, and Bill jumped into action to protect his son, covering up evidence of the fateful accident. The hope is that nobody will be able to trace the unfortunate situation back to them, but... that's not likely to happen!

In a video interview with TV Insider, Clifton opens up about how his longtime alter ego will deal with what he's done and whether or not he'll be able to keep Bill's decision to cover up the evidence to himself.

"Liam's gonna be not good at this," the actor reveals with a laugh. "Some of my favorite stories on the show are the Bill/Liam, father/son dynamic stories, and yeah, Bill knows exactly what needs to be done, and it's just about taking the steps to do it to protect everyone, but Liam has this pesky conscience that he sort of just lets consume him."

The actor continues, "It's one thing to have a conscience but it's another thing to let that conscience make you incapable of thinking through certain things. That happens a lot to Liam, and in this case, he's going to racked with guilt... and when Liam is racked with guilt, he doesn't think very clearly!"

Obviously, Clifton can't reveal where the storyline is going, but he does say that he was absolutely thrilled to be given material that is much different than what he usually plays on B&B.

"We knew this episode was coming, and I was really excited about it because it was sort of a change in pace from what we had been doing, which for me, is Liam's mea culpa stage, where he sort of screws up really badly or has done something, and then he has to apologize for it for a long time before he gets back to zero," he shares with a laugh. "But this was something that was going to break that up. And we even had a new set built, which is a really big deal!"
