Denise Richards on her new skincare line, returning to work at The Bold and the Beautiful

The Bold and the Beautiful's Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton) opens up about her new business venture, CB Me Beauty, and what she thinks her soap work will be like when B&B resumes production.

Despite being sheltered at home during the coronavirus pandemic, The Bold and the Beautiful star Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton) has been an incredibly busy lady. In addition to filming confessionals and interviews from isolation in her home for the upcoming season of her reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she has also been hard at work launching CB Me Beauty, a hemp seed oil-infused skincare line that she helped develop.

"I've always been passionate about skincare and taking care of my skin since I was 15 years old," the actress shares with ET about why she started the line, which has been two years in the making. "I've always been very adamant about keeping my face out of the sun, sunscreen and clean living, and just really taking good care of my skin."

Richards and her partners never thought that they'd be starting their new company in the midst of a pandemic, but the actress points out that, in the end, it's been kismet. After all, many people are indulging in extra self-care while stuck at home, which means now was the perfect time to introduce CB Me Beauty's range of products that includes neck, dcollet, and eye treatments (which Richards says she uses as alternatives to plastic surgery).

"A lot of people say I had plastic surgery on my face, which I haven't," she declares. "I did try Botox. I personally did not like it. I looked very rested -- that, I loved -- but I personally didn't like how it felt physically on my face. It felt like someone was pushing down on my forehead or something. I don't know. It was very bizarre. And also, I have very expressive eyebrows and I'm an actress. I use a lot of expressions through my face, so that was something I felt like I couldn't do as much, so that's also why I, personally for me, I don't like how it feels."

Speaking of acting, Richards is looking forward to getting back on set as her B&B character, Shauna Fulton, a role she took on last year. But she's not sure what changes will be made to filming with COVID-19 safety protocols in place.

"Are we gonna all have to wear masks in a love scene?" she quips. "I don't know! None of us do. I mean, that's the thing with our industry, being actors in entertainment and doing what all of us do, it's a big challenge for all of us, the close proximity with each other. So, I'm not sure."
