Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin Ramírez, The Bold and the Beautiful) takes on the blood-sucking role of Nocturna on the CW's Batwoman. This is the second vampire role for the actress, who previously played Vicki Donovan on The Vampire Diaries.
Former The Bold and the Beautiful star Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin Ramrez) had the pleasure of stepping into the shoes of a vampiric villain for an upcoming episode of the CW's Batwoman.
The actress, who has plenty of experience with the undead from her role as human-turned-vampire Vicki Donovan on The Vampire Diaries, will be appearing in the blood-sucking role of Nocturna for the Sunday, February 23, episode of the superhero series. According to an official description of the episode, titled Drink Me, Nocturna preys on the people of Gotham to maintain her need for human blood, which is caused by a grievous affliction.
"Being a hero is draining," Ewell teases on social media. "Watch Nocturna sink her teeth into Gotham. Only on @cwbatwoman."

Nocturna has a history in the DC Comics universe, having made her debut in the 1980s as a thief with light sensitivity. She went on to become one of Bruce Wayne's love interests and was later reintroduced during the 2011 "New 52" reboot as a vampire villain to Batwoman, with whom she also had a romantic relationship.
Ewell joined B&B as Caitlin in 2004 and played the daughter of hunky firefighter Hector Ramrez (Lorenzo Lamas) until 2005. Her post-daytime credits include The O.C., Entourage, Me and My Grandma, and Roswell, New Mexico.
