Terrifying new film stars B&B and GH actress Ashley Jones

Homekilling Queen, the new Lifetime thriller starring The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital alum Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget Forrester; ex-Parker Forsyth), is sure to give Stephen King's Carrie a run for its money.

One can always surmise a great deal about Lifetime films from the title alone, and the next one starring Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Parker Forsyth, General Hospital) is a whammy: Homekilling Queen.

As the title implies, the thriller surrounds beautiful homecoming queen front runner Abbie Kirk, who is found dead in the woods. When her death is ruled as a fatal asthma attack, no one in the tight-knit community of West Chester, Pennsylvania realizes that Abbie's main competition -- popular and rich Whitney Manning (Kaitlyn Bernard) -- murdered her. Whitney's ostentatious mother, Connie Manning (Jones), and her grandmother Evelyn (Jennifer Dale), will stop at nothing to ensure Whitney is crowned queen -- as Connie was over 25 years ago. They are the richest family in West Chester, and status is everything to them.

"They really feel like they own the town and can do whatever they want at no expense," Jones tells Soaps In Depth.

However, when edgy and cool dark horse Natasha Hart enters the race, the students root for her -- as does Whitney's father, Rob (James Gallanders), who has a thing for Natasha's mother. Natasha ends up being framed for murder and has to prove her innocence and show the people of West Chester that Whitney isn't what she seems.

As fans may recall, Gallanders and Jones have worked together as husband and wife before: they played a couple in 2008's A Teacher's Crime.

"What a delight to be reunited with the incredibly talented and sweetest of humans Ashley Jones 10 years later," Gallanders shared on Instagram of reuniting with Jones. "Best ex-wife ever!"

Gallanders also took to Instagram with a behind-the-scenes photo of Jones posing with some of her young costars, which he captioned: "Got to work with these 3 powerhouses last fall. Looking forward to May 11th."

Homekilling Queen is set to premiere on Lifetime on Saturday, May 11, at 8:00 PM. For a sneak peek preview, check out the film trailer here.
