B&B's Schae Harrison diagnosed with chronic fibromyalgia; soap's producer asks fans for emergency help

The Bold and the Beautiful's supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, has started a fundraiser for Schae Harrison (Darla Einstein), who has been diagnosed with chronic fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Schae Harrison entertained fans of The Bold and the Beautiful for nearly two decades as Sally Spectra's ditzy secretary, Darla Einstein. But a recent health diagnosis has drastically changed the actress' ability to continue her craft, let alone live a normal life.

B&B supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk took to Twitter to share that Harrison was recently diagnosed with chronic fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

"I'm reaching out to ask for your help and share some sad news about long time B&B cast member, Schae Harrison. As you know, Schae played the ditzy secretary, Darla Einstein, for almost 20 years. As Sally Spectra's right hand gal, she was always there to assist Sally when she needed a hand. Now the time has come where our dear Schae needs assistance," he writes on a Go Fund Me page set up to help the actress.

"Schae was formally diagnosed with Chronic Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Her symptoms started almost two years ago but it took a lot of time and heartache before she got formally diagnosed," he reveals. "It's been so hard for her and she had to quit her job on Castle because she couldn't stand and work long hours. She is now sometimes in a wheelchair. She is on medication and getting treatments but because she can't work, she's run through her savings and is finding it hard to pay for her medical expenses and for taking care of her son, Haven [whom she shares with B&B alum Mick Cain, ex-C.J. Garrison]. She loves Haven more than anything and her heart is broken that he's suffering because of her illness."

Kasprzyk goes on to explain that Schae filed a claim for Social Security disability two years ago, but her case isn't being heard until April 2019. Therefore, a Go Fund Me page has been set up with a goal of $8,000 to help Schae "pay some back bills, pay for her and Haven's rent, food and utilities and Schae's medicine until her disability is approved."
