Stan the Man is an upcoming romantic comedy you won't want to miss because it stars both B&B's Katherine Kelly Lang and multi-soap alum Crystal Chappell.
Gambling, booze, and Russian mobsters aren't the typical ingredients that go into making a romantic comedy. But then again, Stan the Man isn't your typical romance flick. The upcoming film not only boasts quite an entertaining synopsis, but it also stars soap opera veterans Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Crystal Chappell (ex-Carly Manning, Days of our Lives; ex-Olivia Spencer, Guiding Light; ex-Danielle Spencer, B&B; ex-Maggie Carpenter, One Life to Live).
Written by Zachary Sasim, the film stars Steven Chase as Stan Mann -- a rich playboy whose life revolves around women, booze, and gambling.
"Known as 'Stan the man' for his extreme generosity, he gets mixed up in a casino gambling scheme with Russian Mobsters and in one fateful bet, Stan loses everything," teases the official synopsis. "Planning to drown his sorrows in a bottle, Stan is critically wounded in a liquor store robbery, where he takes the bullet intended for the store clerk, Kristi (Anne Leighton). Stan has a near death experience in the ER when a slightly resentful angel gives Stan a chance to change his ways and redeem himself, by finding his one true love within thirty days."

Chappell, who plays Melody Dubois in the film, doesn't currently star on a network soap, but she has found major success as a producer and actor on the digital dramas Beacon Hill and Venice.
Lang, who plays Elizabeth Morgan, has been busy outside of B&B opening a new boutique and filming a several-episode arc on the Greek television series 8 Lexeis. To learn more about both ventures, click here.
Stan the Man is scheduled for release in 2020.
