The Bold and the Beautiful has received a GLAAD nomination in the Outstanding Daily Drama category.
The Bold and the Beautiful is being honored at this year's GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Awards as the sole nominee in the ceremony's Outstanding Daily Drama category.
The GLAAD awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of the LGBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer) community and the issues that affect their lives. B&B won the GLAAD award in the Outstanding Daily Drama category last year for its storyline revolving around Maya's (Karla Mosley) transgender history, while Days of our Lives won the award in 2015 for its wedding between Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Guy Wilson).
This year's ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 1, and in New York City on Saturday, May 6. For more information on the awards, including a list of nominees in other categories, check out GLAAD's official website.
What do you think about B&B being nominated for another GLAAD award? Would you like to see the soap dive even further into LGBTQ issues?
