B&B's Obba Babatundé dazzles in Once In a Lifetime, celebrating Sammy Davis Jr.

Tonight's performance of Once In a Lifetime, starring The Bold and the Beautiful's Obba Babatundé (Julius Avant), is sold out, but have no despair: the show that celebrates jazz legend Sammy Davis Jr. is available for live streaming.

Emmy and Tony Award winner Obba Babatund (Julian Avant, The Bold and the Beautiful) is being hailed a master of entertainment in the theater world, and fans of the talented actor will be able to see why in tonight's presentation of Once In a Lifetime, which celebrates Sammy Davis Jr.

The New York-based show is sold out, but Jazz at Lincoln Center is offering fans the chance to live stream the dazzling show that transports the audience to a time when clubs were dominated by iconic jazz singers and the sounds of the Great American Songbook.

"As part of this special evening, Babatund will celebrate the birthday of his personal friend and mentor, Sammy Davis, Jr.," teases livestream.com. "Babatund won 'Best Lead Male' at the 2010 NAACP Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Sammy Davis, Jr. in the musical Sammy, and he'll bringing that magic touch to this unique Once in a Lifetime program. With inside stories to share from throughout his expansive career and special guests set to surprise and delight, Babatund will give audiences an unforgettable evening and demonstrate why he's considered a master of entertainment."

Babatund has an impressive resume under his belt, having appeared in more than 17 stage productions, 30 theatrical films, 60 made-for-television movies, and many primetime series. He has played the role of Maya and Nicole's father, Julius Avant, on The Bold and the Beautiful since 2015. He won the 2016 Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series" for his work on the daytime series.
