It turns out Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James grew up watching some of your favorite soap operas.
NBA player LeBron James, who currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, recently created a game show, airing on NBC, called The Wall. It's been getting serious comparisons to The Price is Right's famous game Plinko, which James says is no accident.
The sports superstar shares that The Wall was inspired by the daytime shows he watched on television while growing up -- a list that includes soap operas.
"I watched The Price is Right a lot," James told Cleveland.com. "My mother watched it all the time and we only had one TV, so at the end of the day, you watched what your mother watched, including The Bold and the Beautiful and All My Children. So whatever mom was watching, I had to watch. So, The Price is Right was one of them, Jeopardy, all those shows that came on."

The Wall, which premiered earlier this week, features contestants answering trivia questions in order to make it to a Plinko-like wall in which balls dropped down a pegged wall eventually land in columns with monetary sums attached.
Says James of how he felt when his creation premiered on NBC last Monday: "[We] watched clips of Plinko and things of that nature and it was just like, to see it come all the way to where it was last night, it was like seeing your kid go off to college. Seeing it from day one all the way to being put on television."
To catch the next episode of The Wall, tune in to NBC on Monday, January 2, at 10/9C.
