B&B's Obba Babatunde joins AMC alum Melissa Leo in Jim Carrey series I'm Dying Up Here

The Bold and the Beautiful's Obba Babatund (Julius Avant) and All My Children alum Melissa Leo (ex-Linda Warner) are part of the ensemble cast for Showtime's comedy series I'm Dying Up Here.

Here's some good news The Bold and the Beautiful fans will be dying to share: series star Obba Babatund (Julius Avant) has joined the ensemble cast of Showtime's upcoming comedy, I'm Dying Up Here. And he'll be acting opposite All My Children alum Melissa Leo (ex-Linda Warner).

Executive produced by famed comedian Jim Carrey, the hour-long dark comedy follows up-and-coming Los Angeles comedians in the 1970s that are being mentored by "Goldie" (Leo), a "brassy comedy club owner who rules over her business with an iron first and nurtures her comedians with tough love," Deadline reports.

Babatund, who will portray comedy manager Barton Royce, also joins Desperate Housewives' alum Jeffrey Nordling as Eli, a member of Goldie's inner circle, as well as Ari Graynor, Andrew Santino, RJ Cyler, Al Madrigal, Erik Griffin, and Stephen Guarino as main stand-ups at the club.
