B&B snags former GH and DAYS producer/director

Former General Hospital and Days of our Lives producer/director Shelley Curtis has joined The Bold and the Beautiful's directing team.

The Bold and the Beautiful scored quite a behind-the-scenes win with the recent addition of veteran soap opera director and producer Shelley Curtis, who has joined the CBS soap's directing team.

Curtis, who's been involved in the daytime industry since 1979, has been nominated for and won multiple Daytime Emmy awards for her work on GH. In addition, she's served as a supervising producer for DAYS and has directed episodes of DAYS, All My Children, Guiding Light, One Life to Live, and Port Charles, among others.

The director joins current team Michael Stitch, Cynthia J. Popp, Deveney Kelly, Jennifer Howard, and David Shaughnessy. As fans know, Heather Tom (Katie Logan) also sometimes directs the popular soap.

"I'm excited to be coming back to daytime and elated to join The Bold and the Beautiful team," Curtis told Soap Opera Network.

Look for the director's first episode on Wednesday, April 13.
