B&B scores its most-watched week since 2009

Forget what you've heard about the decline of the soap opera. The Bold and the Beautiful is having its best season in six years and just had its most-watched week since 2009.

The Bold and the Beautiful has reason to celebrate --- more than 3.8 million reasons, to be exact.

In the latest Nielsen ratings for the week ending November 8, the CBS soap had its most watched week of programming in nearly five years. For the five-day period starting November 4, B&B added 194,000 viewers for a total of 3,801,000 total viewers. It was the show's largest weekly audience since January 30, 2009.

For the current season, The Bold and the Beautiful, is averaging 3.75 million viewers, the best showing since the start of the 2007 season. That's up 12% over last year. In the coveted Women 18-49 demographic, B&B is up 10%.

Earlier this year, The Bold and the Beautiful won its eighth consecutive Golden Nymph award at the Monte Carlo Television Festival signifying it is the world's most watched telenovela/soap opera.
