Ashley Jones is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. The actress, who was last seen in February 2012, is on-set this week to tape a handful of new scenes. Jones assumed the role of Bridget in 2004.
Two-time Emmy nominee Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester) is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful for a short stay.
Jones wrapped up a six-year run as Bridget at the end of 2010. Over the next two years, the actress made occasional appearances as a recurring player. Now, Jones returns to the B&B set this week to begin taping scenes that will air over the course of a handful of episodes that will air later this spring.
"I'm only going in for three or four episodes as of right now," Jones told Zap2it, "but there's some fun stuff with Bridget's mom (B&B original cast member Katherine Kelly Lang). I specifically didn't want to go back for a wedding or a funeral. I feel like this is too cool a character to come back and just sit in the background. That's not that fun."
Jones is, however, receptive to the idea that her character could make additional appearances somewhere down the line. The actress notes, though, that "the business has completely changed since" she started.
During her time away from The Bold and the Beautiful, Jones has tackled primetime television, landing a plum role in the HBO series, True Blood. Jones also appeared in the pilot for an attempted reboot of the 1970 private eye series, The Rockford Files.
CBS has not yet released the first airdate for Jones' B&B homecoming.
