B&B shares 25 years of photos in new book

The Bold and the Beautiful will release a special photo book to mark 25 years on the air. The book will feature never-before-seen photos from the show's past.

To celebrate 25 years in daytime, the Bold and Beautiful plans the November release of an epic photo book with an epic title. According to the show's website, Becoming Bold & Beautiful: 25 Years of Making the World's Most Popular Daytime Soap Opera promises the show's viewership rare and revealing behind-the-scenes access to the Forresters' family and fashion drama.

B&B is actually the youngest soap opera in daytime, and it boasts a viewership of over 35 million people in more than 100 countries. Guinness World Records deemed it the most popular daytime soap opera on television. Its creators are capitalizing on this phenomenon with a pictorial history of over 200 photographs depicting the show from its inception in 1987 to 2012.

The book contains a foreword credited to the show's core four: Susan Flannery, John McCook, Ronn Moss, and Katherine Kelly Lang, who each originated and spent 25 years in their respective roles as Stephanie, Eric, Ridge, and Brooke Forrester. Inside the book, readers will enjoy pictures of the cast and crew on set at Stage 31 in Los Angeles. The book will reflect upon location shoots in Malibu, Cabo San Lucas, and Aspen, and fans can view the CGI images that created Brooke and Thomas' berry-induced hallucinations.

Authored by Adrian Aviles and David Gregg, the book will also take readers back to L.A.'s Skid Row to relive the show's homeless storyline. Longtime fans will enjoy a section of the book that pays homage to the late Darlene Conley's portrayal of Sally Spectra, a role Conley played for nearly 20 years.

Becoming Bold and Beautiful is expected to hit bookshelves on November 13, 2012. On that day, writer and producer Bradley Bell will attend a book signing in Los Angeles at the Barnes and Noble store at The Grove. Katherine Kelly Lang, John McCook, Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), and Kim Matula (Hope Logan) will also be on hand to sign copies for the fans.
