B&B alum to play Anna Nicole Smith

"Bold" and "beautiful" are two words that some may use to describe the late Anna Nicole Smith. Now, former B&B star Agnes Bruckner has been tapped to play the former model in a new television movie. Bruckner appeared on B&B as Bridget in the late 1990s.

Lifetime Television has recruited Agnes Bruckner (ex-Bridget Forrester) for their original movie, The Anna Nicole Smith Story, which recounts the life and unexpected death of Vicky Lynn Hogan, who gained international fame under the stage name Anna Nicole Smith.

Written by Joe Batteer and John Rice, the movie depicts the how the small-town Texan transformed herself into a Marilyn Monroe-esque model and paid a steep price for fame. According to USA Today, Martin Landau will play J. Howard Marshall, Smith's millionaire husband who was 62 years old when Smith was born. In 2007, a drug overdose claimed the life of the 39-year-old Smith.

Another biographical film about Smith, starring Willa Ford, was released under the same title in 2009. Work on the Lifetime production could begin as early as next week, and Bruckner wrote on Twitter that she is already "getting [her] Anna Nicole Smith on."

Bruckner has recently wrapped work on two independent films, A Bit of Bad Luck and Wrong Cops. She also stars with Eva Longoria in The Baytown Outlaws.

Known for her role as Heather on Private Practice, Bruckner portrayed a teenage Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful from 1997 to 1999.
