Daytime veteran Andrea Evans is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. It's been ten years since the actress last appeared as B&B's trashy Tawny. Since that time, Evans has appeared on Passions, One Life to Live, and The Young and the Restless.
Andrea Evans (Tawny Moore) is reprising her role as Amber Moore's trailer trash mom, Tawny.
"I am excited to have Andrea back to reprise this very special role," B&B's executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell said in a statement. "There's really no one else like Tawny. She returns to Los Angeles from Furnace Creek thinking that her daughter Amber is living the high life. When she finds out that just the opposite is true, this campy mother-daughter-duo team up and set their sights on the Spencer men which, of course, causes all kinds of problems for everyone involved."
It's been ten years since Evans was last spotted on B&B. Since that time, the actress has appeared on three different soaps. Immediately after leaving B&B in 2000, Evans set up shop on the campy, supernatural soap, Passions. On the NBC soap, Evans appeared as Rebecca Hotchkiss for eight years.

In 2008, while still appearing on-screen on Passions, Evans returned to the soap -- and the role -- that made her a household name: Tina Lord on ABC's One Life to Live. Her return to OLTL helped the show mark its 40th anniversary. Evans earned an Outstanding Ingnue (now-Younger Actress) Daytime Emmy nomination for her work on One Life to Life in 1988.
Earlier this year, Evans appeared as Tawny on The Young and the Restless. Her one-day appearance in May helped usher her on-screen daughter, Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore), off the Y&R canvas. Evans had previously appeared on The Young and the Restless -- but not as Tawny. In 1983 and 1984, Evans portrayed Patty Williams.
"There seems to be a running theme through all my characters," Evans told TVGuide Magazine's Michael Logan, who first reported the news of Evans' return. "They all want money. And they're all pretty conniving - but what sets Tawny apart from the rest is that she's just not very good at it!"
Evans will first appear on The Bold and the Beautiful on December 29. Her return engagement was originally slated to last just four episodes, but Evans now states that her B&B stay is "open ended."
