The Bold and the Beautiful continues to infuse new characters into its storylines, though based on past successes it is too soon to tell if viewers will care about these new faces. The latest addition is former DAYS hunk Brandon Beemer. Beemer has already reported to work, but will not hit the airwaves until July.
The Bold and the Beautiful is working overtime to add some new faces to its roster. Many of the show's new players will be part of the summer "teen" storylines. The most high-profile addition to the B&B cast is that of former Days of our Lives star Brandon Beemer (Shawn Brady).
B&B executive producer and head writer Brad Bell has envied Days of our Lives for having the handsome and accomplished Beemer for some time. Imagine his satisfaction when DAYS executives played into his hands earlier this year when they cut the actor loose earlier in an un-casting shocker that also included the ouster of Beemer's on-screen love Martha Madison.
Being fired from his first daytime gig didn't sour Beemer's outlook on the genre. Upon exiting Days of our Lives, Beemer was coy, saying only that he "would definitely do another soap." It didn't take long for him to find a fresh berth at the B&B studios.

After announcing that Beemer had, in fact, agreed to join The Bold and the Beautiful it took at least two weeks before the show announced what character he'd be playing. Even Beemer was left in the dark about his new role. Eventually, the show released the name of his new alter ego: Owen Knight, a newly created role with previously unknown ties to some existing B&B characters.
"Owen arrives at Forrester Creations connected to Marcus Walton, Donna's secret son, and quickly becomes embroiled in the lives of the Logans and the Forresters," previews Bell.
Beemer appeared on Days of our Lives for just two years, but during his run he was very popular with fans. He also appeared briefly on ABC's General Hospital in a bit part. Outside of daytime, he's appeared on the primetime series CSI: Crime Scene Investigators and the MTV soap Undressed.
Beemer taped his first scenes on May 27th. Those scenes are scheduled to air on July 2nd.
