Is it possible to relive a long-lost romance? That's the question in A Case of Blue, a new film starring Stephen Schnetzer (ex-Cass Winthrop, As the World Turns/Another World; ex-Steven Olson, Days of our Lives; ex-Marcello Salta, One Life to Live).
The compelling romantic drama, shot in iconic locations around New York City, follows the actor as recent retiree Richard Flicker, who attends a life drawing class in New York and encounters a free-spirited model (Annapurna Sriram) who is the spitting image of a long-lost love from decades ago.
Grappling with mounting issues at home, Richard must decide between facing the cold reality of an uncertain future or escaping into the past to grasp a second chance at romance.
Homeland star Tracy Shayne also stars in the film as Richard's wife, while actor Ken Baltin plays his best buddy.
A Case of Blue was written and directed by Student Academy Award winner Dana H. Glazer, with executive producing by Scott Rosenfelt, who's known for classic films such as Home Alone, Teen Wolf, and Mystic Pizza.
"This was a deeply personal film that I made as a way of communicating with my dad about some challenging things he was going through at the time," Glazer states. "I hope audiences find it both entertaining and redemptive."
Adds Rosenfelt, "When Dana Glazer sent me the script, I was immediately taken with the story and Dana's unique vision for it. I thought it embodied all of the elements of a major film that could be made as an indie. I was happy to work alongside Dana throughout and the proof is on the screen."
A Case of Blue will be available Tuesday, October 19, on most streaming platforms, including Amazon, iTunes, Apple TV, Google Play, Xbox, VUDU, iN Demand Movies, Vubiquity, and Dish.
