Spencer Grammer (Lucy Montgomery) is recuperating after being slashed by a knife-wielding man in New York City -- all because the restaurant was about to close and wouldn't let him in.
According to TMZ, the scary scene took place Friday night at the Black Ant in the East Village section of Manhattan. Witnesses described the slasher as "seemingly drunk." After being turned away, the tabloid site says the guy went "into a rage, because he whipped out a blade and started hacking away in a full-on brawl with guests and employees."
The 36-year-old Grammer and her friend were said to be among the people trying to pry the man off of people, and as a result, she suffered gash wounds. Spencer, who suffered injuries to her arm, and her friend were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Grammer, the daughter of Kelsey Grammer, appeared on As the World Turns as Lucy Montgomery from May to December 2006. She is currently one of the stars of the animated series Rick and Morty.
