Monday,
At Vicky's Place, Vicky tells Etta Mae about what happened at Lila's and is
puzzled by Matt's involvement with Lila. Suddenly it hits Vicky and she tells
Etta Mae that Lila has been spreading a little southern comfort out to Matt.
Etta Mae agrees and Vicky tells her that Lila would have pulled every dirty
trick in the book to get Shane, including trapping him into a pregnancy. She
finishes by telling Etta Mae that Shane would never have touched Lila, so that
is where Matt comes in, Matt is the donor. Etta Mae tells Vicky not to worry
whether Lila's baby is Shane's or Matt's and to worry about how to get Jake
back. Vicky says she doesn't see how wasting time on something that won't
happen will do any good. Etta Mae tells Vicky that with that attitude she'll
never get Jake back. Etta Mae says that Vicky should tell Jake how she saved
him by handing Shane's estate over to Lila. Vicky says she can't go see Jake,
especially not at the Herald. Etta Mae eventually persuades Vicky to go see
Jake and she wishes her luck.
At Grant's Penthouse, Jake is there to warn Grant to stay away from Vicky and
to distract him while Gary sneaks into his place to put the tape back into the
trash. Outside the Penthouse, Jake has Grant in a chokehold until Grant
elbows Jake in the gut to free himself from Jake's hold. Grant is about to go
back inside, but Jake knows Gary is still inside so he stalls Grant some more
by telling him his visitation days are the only days he wants to hear about
Grant being at Vicky's. Grant tells Jake he thought Jake didn't care about
Vicky any more. Jake tells him just because he's moved out doesn't mean that
he doesn't care and his problems with Vicky are none of Grant's business.
Grant tells Jake that it's too bad that he couldn't hold on to his wife, but
he will see Vicky wherever and whenever he wants to because they share a son.
A bond that Jake and Vicky will never have. After hearing that Jake has a
flashback to him and Vicky at the park discussing having a baby. Grant snaps
him out of it by telling Jake that he knew Jake would never be able to satisfy
Vicky. As they continue arguing Gary slyly slips back out of Grant's place and
once his friend is clear out of shot, Jake tells Grant he's not worth it and
lets him go.
Over at the Hideout, A frightened Paulina decides to take Dante faraway where
no one will find them. Later when she is sleeping, she has a nightmare about
the night of the fire and imagines hearing Dante crying. Spooked, Paulina
pops up out of her sleep and runs to the crib to check on a peacefully
sleeping Dante. Relieved that it was only a dream, Paulina vows that no one
will ever take Dante away from her, no one.
At home, Joe steps out of the shower dripping wet and after wrapping a towel
around himself, enters his room and is startled to find Cindy sitting there in
a chair. Cindy tells Joe that she heard he was looking for her. She then
tells him that she knows where Paulina is hiding at. Joe ask her how long has
she known this. Cindy tells him since the beginning, adding that Paulina
needed some where to hide and she is the only one Paulina could turn to. Joe
tells her that he was on his way to meet with her until Cindy intervened and
then threatens to run her in for aiding and abetting. Cindy tells Joe that he
can threaten her all he wants, but the truth of the matter is that if he ever
wants to see his wife and son again he will listen to her. Joe tells her to
start talking. Cindy tells Joe that she wants the tape. Joe plays dumb, but
Cindy tells him she knows he has it and if he doesn't turn it over to her and
drop the charges against Grant he will never see Paulina and Dante again. Joe
tells her she has got to be kidding, Paulina is the only friend that she has
and this is how you repay her with blackmail. Cindy tells Joe that she cares
about Paulina and wants her to be happy and she will tell him where Paulina
is, but she doesn't want Grant to go to jail. Joe yells at her that Grant
burned down his house and almost killed his wife and son and now she has the
nerve to ask him this. Cindy says that the fire was just an accident and
Grant has changed. Joe tells her that Grant hasn't changed, Grant is Grant and
the next time he wants something he will stoop to great lengths to get it like
he always does. He then asks Cindy why she is going out on a limb for Grant.
Cindy tells him that she loves Grant as much as he loves Paulina. Joe still
can't forget that Grant almost killed his wife and son, but Cindy says that
Grant was torn up about that and is sorry. Cindy points out that Paulina
almost killed Kirkland, Grant's only son and that's Joe's anger for Grant is
equal to Grant's anger at Paulina. Joe says that Paulina didn't mean to hit
Kirkland, but Grant meant to hurt his family as a part of some scheme and
Cindy can't compare the two incidents. Cindy asks Joe why not, and then tells
him it was an accident and she will not stand by and watch her husband lose
everything. Cindy then tells Joe that they can stand here and argue forever,
but the fact is Paulina is leaving the country tomorrow; so either Grant goes
free or Joe will never see his wife and son again.
At B.C.P.D., Gary and Jake show up and Josie asks them how did it go. Gary
tells Josie how Jake successfully distracted Grant so Gary could replace the
tape in Grant's trash-can. Certain that Grant is about to get what he so
richly deserves, the threesome can't wait until Grant is dragged into the
station. Jake adds that he can't wait to see their esteemed Mayor behind
prison bars. Gary agrees, and Jake tells them he has to go. Gary asks him
doesn't he want to be there when they bring Grant in, but Jake tells him he
needs to get to the Herald to set things up for tomorrow's headline story
starring Grant. As Jake leaves, Gary grabs Josie up and hugs her with Joy,
glad that after all these years they will finally have Grant where they want
him. Secretly, Josie's gets worried that Gary is getting too invested in
revenge against Grant. Gary tells her he just can't wait for the whole world
to see what kind of a real bastard Grant is. Josie tells him that getting
Paulina to come back home is the important thing, but her statement falls on
deaf ears to an over-zealous Gary. Just then Joe arrives with Cindy in tow.
Upon seeing this Gary taunts Cindy about ratting Grant out and saving her own
neck. Cindy says nothing and just follows Joe into his office. As Joe hands
Cindy the tape, Gary is peering through the blinds outside the office watching
in utter disbelief as Joe hands their evidence over to the suspects wife. He
then rushes in screaming nooo! and asks Joe what is he doing. As Cindy tells
Joe to burn the tape. Josie follows behind Gary to also see what is going on.
Joe tells them that she knows where Paulina is and this is the only way she
will tell him her whereabouts before she leaves the country. Josie tells Gary
that this isn't about Grant, it's about Paulina. Joe burns the tape and Cindy
calls Paulina and claims to be coming over with the passports and airline
tickets. Cindy keeps her word and gives Joe the address where Paulina is
staying. Joe tells her it had better be on the level and heads off. Gary is
freaked out that Grant has gotten away again, but Josie tells him it's more
about Paulina than Grant. She then tells him she has to go call Jake and have
him put a halt on the story. Gary tells her Jake isn't going to be anymore
happy about this latest news than he is.
Over at the Herald, Jake is telling Chris about the Grant situation, when
Vicky arrives. She greets everybody and tells Jake that she has to tell him
something. Jake heads to his office and Vicky follows. She starts by telling
Jake that when she entered she saw a smile on his face and it made her feel
good because she hasn't seen one in along time. Jake tells her he hasn't had
much to smile about lately, but he's got some good news. Vicky tells him she
does also and that is the reason she came by, but asks Jake to share his good
news first. Jake tells her that they may have found Paulina and she'll be
coming home soon. Vicky tells him that is great news and gets ready to sit
down, but Jake tells her not to. He then informs her that he did not stay in
Bay City for her, he did it for the boys. Vicky says she shouldn't have come
here, so she'll just say what she had to say and leave. Vicky tells Jake that
she's taken care of Lila's suit against him, but he doesn't seem moved. Jake
asks if she expected a thank you and Vicky says she just wanted him to stop
paying for her mistakes. Jake says nothing and the phone rings. It's Josie
calling to tell him that Joe has found Paulina. Jake is happy, until he learns
that Grant has been let off the hook again. Jake has Chris kill their story on
Grant and asks Chris to show Vicky out. Vicky suddenly becomes short of
breath, but Jake is unmoved by her health crisis. Chris tells Vicky he'll take
her home, even though she insists she can drive herself. When they leave, Jake
calls Marley and leaves a message stating that Vicky needs her.
Back at the Mayor's Penthouse, Cindy returns home to Grant, who is furious
because he has been calling all over town for her. He then tells her about
Joe Carlino's suspicions and that he has been closing in on them. He informs
her that the tape she kept on him as an insurance policy has been stolen by
the Police which could now spell the end of his career thanks to her. Cindy
tells Grant to hush and that it is all over and he doesn't have to worry about
the tape anymore. Grant asks her what does she mean by that. Cindy tells him
the tape is history........Meanwhile back at the station, Josie tries to calm
Gary by telling him that Joe was secretly telling her it's not over yet. As
Josie tells Gary that Joe had to keep everything from them so Cindy could see
how upset they both got when he burned the tape, Cindy explains everything to
a very loving Grant and tells him Joe burned the tape in front of her. At
the station, Josie tells Gary that Joe burned the tape in front of them so
that Cindy would think she won. Gary confirms, telling Josie that Cindy
forgot about the original at home in her trash can. Josie then tells Gary
she's headed over to Grant's to do a follow up on the break-in.
Back at Vicky's, Chris and Vicky arrive and Vicky doesn't look so good. Etta
Mae is still there and tells Vicky to go upstairs and get some rest. Once they
are alone, Chris tells Etta Mae that it's bad. Etta Mae tells Chris it's all
her fault she is the one who talked Vicky in to going to see Jake. Chris
tells Etta Mae about how cold Jake treated Vicky and explains about Vicky's
health crisis episode. Chris tells her that Vicky's health crisis was real and
she looked really bad when they left. Chris says that Jake just stared at
Vicky like he didn't feel anything at all. Etta Mae tells him that she prays
they will be able to find their way back to one another.
Back at the Penthouse, Grant professes his undying love for Cindy as they
celebrate the threat of the tape being lifted from their heads. Josie shows up
knocking at their door and tells Grant that she is there to do a follow up on
the break-in. Grant tells her he thought the Bay City P.D. didn't think
anything was stolen. Josie tells him she has to do a follow up any way and it
will only take a second. She then heads straight to the trash cane but, Cindy
tells Josie that the back-up tape is gone. Cindy tells Josie she figured out
that Joe planted a copy of the tape in the trash, but Cindy says it's not
there. Josie tells Cindy that this is not over and she walks out. After she's
gone, Cindy says that it is over as she and Grant celebrate their victory over
the Bay City P.D. Cindy professes her undying love for Grant and he's
grateful. As they get ready to go make love the phone rings. Cindy happily
answers the phone and sends Grant off to the bedroom to wait for her, but is
dismayed to find that it's Vicky on the phone, upset and wanting to speak with
Grant. Josie returns to the station and tells Gary that Cindy found the other
cassette, they got away with it.
Back at the Hideout, Joe goes to the place where Paulina is hiding and knocks
on the door. Paulina panics when she learns that it's Joe on the other side of
the door, not Cindy.

Tuesday,
Josie arrives at the station and tells Gary that Cindy beat them to
the other tape. Gary (being played now by John Littlefield) is very
upset at this. Josie ask why he is so upset, is there something else
bothering him.
Cindy intercepts the call from Vicky and hangs up on her. Cindy
and Grant are very happy at the developments. Cindy wants to know how
Grant feels about her help. He says let me show you, and Cindy says
show me how much you love me. They head for the bedroom.
Joe arrives at the hotel that Paulina is hiding out in. Paulina
panics when Joe says it is him. Paulina is afraid to open the door and
looks for an escape route from the room. Dante starts crying and Joe
pleads with Paulina to open the door. He tells her about Grants
involvement and Paulina is still unsure. Joe tells her that he believes
in her and that he trust her and while she has been missing that he
learned that he really did trust her. Paulina wants to think about all
of it and refuses to open the door. She says she needs time to think
about all of it and ask Joe to please leave that she promises to talk to
him before she will do anything. She says if he trust her then he will
leave. Joe hesitates only a second and says he is leaving . He is
walking away when Paulina opens the door and calls him back.
Grant and Cindy are in bed and Cindy is so happy she wants to see
what she looks like that happy, so she goes to the bath to look at
herself. Grant uses that time to call Vicky and check up on her. Cindy
comes back and Grant says the next time Vicky calls to be sure and let
him know it. He says he has to go over there that Kirkland had a bad
day at school and Cindy throws a fit at this interruption of their
victory over Joe. She says a lot of things that Grant does not like and
calls Kirkland a snot nosed kid. This makes Grant very mad. He goes to
dress and Cindy cries.
At the station Gary is upset about their failure to bring Grant to
justice. He has gone to the gym to work out and Josie follows him. She
wants to know what else is bothering him. Gary says nothing is. While
there another officer comes to tell Josie that a guy named Jeremy
called her that he made it sound important. Josie says she has to take
the call. Josie is talking on the phone to this guy and says it can't
be this soon. She will have to make plans and pack and that she will
choose the place and hangs up. Gary had come in and ask where she has
to go, Josie looks guilty but says it is Tony that they have plans to
get together later.
Joe and Paulina are talking and Joe ask if he can hold Dante.
Paulina let him but gets between the door and Joe and Dante. Joe
notices this and tells her that he will never take Dante away from her
and hands him back to her. Paulina tells him he doesn't know what it is
like to not be trusted that she has always had to prove herself. Joe
says he wants to start over and get to know Paulina again. Paulina is
unsure about this and Joe says he understands now how it feels to be
untrusted that Paulina doesn't trust him even now. Joe ask to hold
Dante again and then turns around and gives Dante back to Paulina
showing her that he trust her and she can trust him. He gets on his
knees and ask her to start over with him. Paulina is hesitant but gives
in and says ok lets start over. They kiss.
Gary has left Josie at the station and has gone to a bar. There he
sits thinking about all the injustice in the Grant thing and he orders a
double bourbon.
Grant is telling Cindy he loves her and leaves to go to Vicky's.
Cindy says to herself that he will be back only when Vicky is finished
with him. Cindy says she will stay home in her bed until Vicky snaps
her fingers. Cindy says perhaps Grant needs to remember just who he
married, she strikes a match and stares at it.
Lila triumphantly informs Donna that she has forced Vicky into
total surrender. Josie confides to Toni a fear that her husband
may have fallen off the wagon. Meanwhile, Gary orders the
bartender to line up a row of double bourbons and keep them
coming. Paulina and Joe happily celebrate their reconciliation.
Cass explains to a skeptical Felicia and Rachel why he's so
sure Wally is bent on revenge. Distracted by a headline about
Grant's new "honesty" campaign, Gary leaves the bar without
taking a drink. Donna taunts Lila about losing her looks as her
pregnancy progresses. Returning home with Joe, Paulina
enjoys a warm reunion with Sofia and the Corys. Cass casts a
suspicious eye on Lila after she becomes the unwitting
accomplice of the person who has been stalking him. Felicia
convinces Gary to continue staying sober one day at a time.
Cass and Donna are together talking and Donna accuses Cass of
messing around with Lila. Cass denies this and accuses Donna of being
the one behind his mystery. Donna does not know about the mystery and
Cass tells her about it and the music box being at Lila's. Donna says
only someone who knew where Cass was going to be could have planted the
music box that plays Greensleeves. Donna suggests Felicia. In the mean
time Felicia is having writer's block at home. She is wearing her famous
boa white feathers. She is exasperated and falls on her sofa.
Nick is at the cemetery and Vicky shows up. Vicky wants to talk to
Nick and he doesn't want to hear her say she is sorry cause he saw with
his own eyes Vicky all over Shane at one occasion and doesn't believe
her. He says that when he saw Vicky with Shane that time it made him
doubt his own love for Sofia because he believed Jake and Vicky were
perfect together. He tells her that she was selfish and mean exactly
what her father has said she was not. Vicky starts to leave and Nick
stops her. He gives her the article Jake would not publish.
Cindy finds Paulina at the studio where her and Joe are going to
live. Cindy tries to get Paulina to forgive her but Paulina will not.
Paulina tells Cindy off . She says that Cindy sold herself to the
devil, Grant. Cindy begs Paulina to forgive her and that her last
betrayal was for Paulina's good. Paulina tells her she didn't do it for
her but did it for Grant.
Grant goes to see Jake at the paper and ask him to take Kirkland to
his soccer practice Saturday. Jake wants to know why he is giving up
his Saturday with Kirkland.
Grant says Kirk has gone through enough lately and that it would mean a
lot to Kirk if Jake would take him , in order that Kirk would see that
Jake meant it when he said he would be there for the kids. Jake is sure
Grant has a hidden agenda. Grant says he is a changed man and only
wants what is good for Kirkland. He also says everyone knows his
reputation and he wants Jake to be a good role model for Kirk. Jake
doesn't believe that for one minute. He ask Grant to leave after saying
he will take Kirk on Saturday.
At Felicia's , Cass and Donna go in and Cass goes to look for her.
He yells at Donna to come help him quick! They come out dragging
Felicia by the arms. Felicia is wearing her yellow rubber gloves and
holding a duster . She is still wearing her boa and demands to know what
they are doing. Cass says that when he found her with her head in the
oven he thought the worst. HAHA!! Felicia said she was cleaning.
Cass tells her of his suspicions about her. Felicia tells him he has a
big ego. Donna and Felicia ask who else had knowledge of his going to
Lilas and Cass brings out a mini PC with his appointments on it. They
both look at him and ask if he transfers the information to his PC at
the office. He does and that leads back to the break-in. Who has
access to his computer?
Jake shows up at Paulina's and hears Paulina tell Cindy to leave that
her only friend she considers to be good is Jake. Paulina tells Cindy
to leave and never come back or she will get a court order to keep her
away. Cindy leaves and Jake and Paulina catch up on the happenings.
Jake tells her about Vicky and what happened. Paulina tells Jake to go
back to Vicky because everyone makes mistakes. Jake says no so Paulina
says she will go help Vicky fight Grant.
Cindy is waiting at Carlino's and everyone is staring at her
oddly. Grant comes in and wants to order, Cindy wants to leave cause
they are staring at them. The waiter gives Grant a hard time and Grant
finally agrees to leave but he has to go somewhere. Cindy says that he
is going to Vicky's and Grant just leaves her there.
At Vicky's house she is reading the article and reads aloud. That
night will divide the family for ever. She is sitting on porch when
Paulina shows up.
Nick tells Jake that he placed his article at another source. Jake
ask where and Nick says he gave it to Vicky that it was really for her
anyway.
Back at Vicky's Paulina is comforting her when a knock at the door
interrupts. Paulina goes to answer it. Grant is there and Paulina just
glares at him......

Friday,
At Gary & Josie's Place, Gary is relaxing at home, when Felicia drops by to
check on him. Gary tells her he's doing fine. Felicia asks him if he has
spoken to Josie yet. Gary tells her no, but as soon as she gets home he is
going to tell her everything. Josie enters catching the last words Gary was
saying and asks him what's going on. Gary tells her there's something he
needs to tell her, but before he can; Josie tells him she already knows he
was at a bar last night. As Josie goes into the bedroom to put her things
away, Felicia tells Gary nothing will kill love faster than secrets. So
whatever it is he has to tell Josie, she is sure Josie will understand. Then
she hugs Gary and leaves. Josie asks Gary if Felicia left on her account. He
tells her no, she left to give them space. He then tells her that it'll be
good to have his wife home in his bed tonight. Josie apologizes for not being
there and tells Gary she had to go to Chicago to escort a prisoner back to the
area. Gary's not please, but pushes is aside for now. Josie wonders what
drove Gary to the bar last night and asked him if it had anything to do with
their relationship. Gary tells her no, she's the best thing that has happened
to him. He then tells her he was upset because Grant got away again, adding
that it reminded him of someone from his past.
At The Art Studio, Amanda, Sofia and Matt are all cleaning-up Rachel's art
studio and getting it ready to be inhabited by the Carlino family. While they
are cleaning, Matt comes from out of one of the rooms not wearing a shirt.
Sofia notices him and smiles, but turns her attentions back to her work. As
they feverishly work to get it completed, Matt comes across one of his old
sketches of Sofia in the nude. Sofia asks him what is he looking at. Matt
shows her the sketch he did of her way back when they were first dating. As
Sofia looks at the drawing she has a slight flashback to that day when Matt
was drawing the sketch. Matt also has the same flashback. Sofia tells Matt
she remembers that he use to have a thing for her hands. Matt tells her he had
a thing for her and Sofia blushes. After they finish fixing the place up, Matt
tells Amanda and Sofia that he needs to go drop some of the things they are
taking out of the studio to the storage. He then asks Sofia out to dinner at
Carlino's to talk "business." Sofia accepts and before leaving tells Amanda
that the place is going to look just great for Joe & Paulina. Matt and Sofia
leave and Amanda wonders if she'll ever get to do any of these things for
herself. She then has a vision of the man she saw jogging at the park and then
heads out to the Herald.
Over At The Herald, Joe is visiting Jake and tells him that he needs his real
estate license and help in buying some property so he can build Paulina her
dream house. He also tells Jake how good it feels to have Paulina and Dante
back in his life and as he goes on about being a father to Dante, Jake looks
at the picture of Steven and Kirkland he has on his desk and feels just what
Joe is talking about. Jake asks Joe if he could return the favor by dropping
off a baseball glove he got for Steven. Joe tells Jake that how would it look
to Steven if Jake couldn't even drop the glove by because he can't face Vicky.
Joe then tries to get Jake to forgive Vicky about the Shane Roberts incident.
Jake tells Joe that he really appreciates his advice, but he really doesn't
want to hear it right now. Joe tells him that he has been in the same
situation and if he can get past it, so can Jake. Jake tells Joe that their
situations are totally different and adds that Paulina never lied to him
constantly. Joe asks Jake what about Steven and Kirkland, adding that they
still need him and tries to convince him that kids change a relationship.
At Vicky's Place, Paulina and Vicky are visiting and Vicky excuses herself to
go get something she wants Paulina to see. While she is gone the doorbell
rings and Paulina answers it to find Grant standing there. Grant enters and
asked a shocked Paulina if Vicky was there. She says nothing. Then Grant
tries to tell Paulina how happy he is that she Dante are back home. But before
he can fully get the words out, Paulina slaps him across the face and tells
him to never say her son's name after what he did to them. Aware of the
commotion, Vicky returns and asks Grant what did he do to them. Paulina looks
at Grant and tells him to please tell Vicky his colorized version of the
story. Grant says it was a mistake, but Paulina tells him it was no mistake,
he almost burned down her house! Paulina tells Grant to picture himself
standing on the stairwell in a burning house with his child in his arms. She
then tells him to picture trying to get you and your child out of the house,
but you can barely breath and you feel very sluggish and your wondering in
God's name how on earth are you going to make it out the door. As she is
talking, Grant is picturing in his mind what she went through because of him.
Paulina then wishes Grant the nightmare she went through trying to save Dante
from the fire while being unknowingly drugged. Vicky's appalled when she hears
what Grant has done. Paulina tells Vicky that Grant is here to do damage
control and not to let him con her. She then tells Vicky she has to leave
before she pukes. Vicky asks Grant if he did it, did he almost kill two people
she loves? Grant admits that he drugged Paulina because she was gonna testify
against him if he tried to gain custody of Kirkland. Grant tells her that it
wasn't supposed to get out of hand, but Vicky tells him that they could have
died. She then tells Grant to tell the truth and gets him to admit to starting
the fire. Vicky asks him if he wants her forgiveness, but Grant says that he
just doesn't want Kirkland to ever know about this. Grant starts telling her
how much Kirkland enjoys the time he spends with him. Vicky tells him she
knows, but Grant tells her no she doesn't. He then tells her that she just
drops him off and then in two hours, she is there to pick him up. Grant
explains that he just wanted to try and getting more time with Kirkland, but
Vicky insisted on going by the custody agreement, so he felt he had to take
action, that's all. He then explains that Paulina was standing in his way and
he just wanted to get her out of the picture.
Back At The Herald, Joe gives up on trying to talk some since into Jake and
goes into the other room to get Dante. He thanks Jake and tells him he needs
to use his phone. Jake says go head and Joe calls Paulina at the house.
Paulina answers and Joe asks how is she doing. Paulina tries to sound light-
hearted, but Joe senses that she doesn't sound so well on the phone. She
then tells him about her run in with Grant over Vicky's and Joe tells her
everything will be fine and asks her to find a sitter tonight because they are
going out. Paulina is okay on the plan, hangs up. After her phone call with
Joe, Paulina pulls a number out of her pocket and calls and makes an
appointment with a therapist.....While Joe is preparing to leave the
Herald, Amanda shows up and asks how her favorite nephew is doing. Joe tells
her good, but then explains that he's about to head out.
Joe leaves and Amanda goes into Jake's office to talk. Before she can get any
words out, Jake reprimands her for being late and tells her she has work to do
at her desk. Amanda tells him that she has also been at a point in her life
where she felt like her whole world has blown up. She then ask Jake how do
people who have been through situations like that manage to come back
stronger. Jake tells her he thought she knew all the answers. Amanda tells
him she has had two marriages that ended in divorce and a daughter who would
rather be at boarding school than home with her. As Jake continues looking at
Steven and Kirkland's picture, Amanda tells him she knows he misses them.
Jake admits it and begins to open up to Amanda and can't believe he is doing
it. He then takes the baseball glove out of his drawer. Amanda ask Jake whose
glove is it. Jake tells her it belongs to Steven and then tries to talk Amanda
into taking the baseball glove over to Steven's for him. Amanda taps into his
ego and tells him sure if he can't even handle returning a simple glove. Jake
sets out to prove her wrong and tells her he can handle it. He'll just put it
on the doorstep and leave and tells Amanda he'll show her who can't handle it
and then leaves. Once alone, Amanda calls Allie at boarding school and tells
her how much she misses her. She then leaves and goes to the park to be
alone. While sitting on a park bench, Amanda starts feeling very lonely and
starts to cry, when the stranger she saw jogging comes up and asks her if she
is alright.....
Back At Vicky's, Grant is begging Vicky not to tell Kirkland the truth because
he couldn't bare it if Kirkland found out what a monster his daddy has become.
Just then, Kirkland runs into the room and is happy to see his daddy. Grant
hugs him and when Kirkland see's his face he wants to know why he looks so
sad. Vicky says that they were just talking. Kirkland then tells Grant about a
incident coming up at his school and asks Vicky if Grant can come too. Vicky
looks at Grants pitiful face and tells Kirkland that if Grant has any extra
time off, he is welcome to come. Kirkland then runs off to play and Vicky
tells Grant that she doesn't need Kirkland to be hurt anymore. Grant tells
Vicky that he learned something about himself from this incident, explaining
that it was more about him winning than his love for his son. He then tells
her he was the unfit parent, not her. Vicky says she just doesn't know if she
can trust him and Grant tells her she doesn't understand. Vicky tells him she
can understand what it feels like to do something so awful that you can't
forgive yourself. Grant asks how she is getting through it and Vicky tells him
that she takes care of her boys. Grant tells her that McKinnon is a fool and
then tells Vicky that he wouldn't blame her if she refused to let him see
Kirkland, but if given the chance he will do what is best for him. Vicky still
doesn't know if she can believe him, but tells him she would never cut
Kirkland's out of his life. Grant is so moved and overjoyed that he hugs
Vicky. Just then, Jake arrives to drop off the glove for Steven. He glances in
the window and witnesses Vicky in Grant's arms.....
Gary and Josie are leaving Carlino's and Gary wants to tell Josie what has
been upsetting him. Unfortunately, Josie has to work, so Gary goes to shoot a
