In One Piece, only a few characters can get their hands on the Devil Fruit, the mysterious fruit that grants a person unique powers but takes away their ability to swim. Among the characters who can wield its powers, only a handful can awaken the fruit to its full extent and use it to its full potential.

According to the current storyline, there are around 11 characters who have awakened its powers. As the Final Saga progresses, viewers can expect Eiichiro Oda to reveal other characters' awakened forms, especially among the remaining Yonko, the Revolutionary Army, and the Blackbeard Pirates.

The Devil Fruits are of three types: Paramecia, Zoan, and Logia. The Zoan-type Devil Fruit allows its user to transform into an animal or a hybrid form. The Paramecia-type Devil Fruit gives its user superhuman abilities or the power to manipulate or affect the environment around them. The Logia-type Devil Fruit gives the user the ability to become, produce, and control an element or natural force.

These three types, when awakened, have different effects on their users. For Paramecia types, the awakening becomes visible as the user's power extends beyond their physical abilities, often affecting their surroundings. For Zoan-type awakening, it boosts the user's physical strength and endurance.

Out of these, only the Logia-type users who have awakened their powers have not been revealed yet by Oda. Fans are excited to see what type of awakening Logia-type user would go through and, maybe, as Final Saga has begun, it might not take long for them to get their answers.

The first character in the series who demonstrated their power awakening is Donquixote Doflamingo during the Dressrosa arc. He had the power of Ito Ito no Mi (String-String Fruit). After his awakening, he becomes more dangerous, as now he has the ability to manipulate his environment by turning buildings and the ground into razor-sharp strings. For the first time, the audience witnesses how much of a massive leap power awakening can provide.

Another name that is often talked about and has been hyped for a long time is Monkey D. Luffy’s awakening as he transformed during the climax of the Wano Arc. It is revealed that his devil fruit is a Mythical Zoan called the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. Luffy now has a new power-up called Gear:5, and it can turn Luffy into a rubbery embodiment of freedom and laughter.

But Luffy and Doflamingo are just two characters who have managed to awaken their powers, though several other characters in the series have unlocked their Devil Fruits’ true potential as well. In the next section, let us take a look at the full list of known and implied Awakened users so far.

So far, One Piece has confirmed at least eight characters who have awakened their powers, with three to four others heavily implied or speculated. That brings the total count to around 11 or 12 characters. Additionally, with characters like Monkey D. Luffy reaching a godlike status with his devil fruit powers, the future other characters look promising. It seems that leveling up is the only answer to survive, because the stakes just keep increasing as they draw closer to uncovering the truth and the path to the One Piece treasure.
