In the world of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, fans often wonder about more than just the battles and the power levels. Many questions about characters as they get older and form relationships center on whether Boruto Uzumaki has a crush. There is nothing that is officially confirmed.

He is the son of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga, whose slow-burn love story was a sweet subplot of the original Naruto series. That being said, fans are curious to see how Boruto’s personal life will unfold. If there is any possibility of a romantic relationship for him, it would be with Sarada Uchiha. Their link is subtle yet significant, one that’s started to become clearer as the series has unfolded.

Naruto didn’t know a great deal about love as a child. Boruto, though, feels much more in touch with his feelings, even if he doesn’t talk much about them. His bond with Sarada, Sasuke, and Sakura’s daughter is very important to him. It helps shape who he is as a ninja and as a person.

Sarada and Boruto are rivals and teammates. And because of their disparate personalities, they often butt heads. He is laid-back and reckless, while she is straightforward and focused. But they also balance each other well.

Over time, their arguments have turned into a deeper understanding. They back each other up on missions, and they’re not afraid to call each other out when one is in the wrong. This kind of relationship is very often how love blossoms in anime, especially in long-running shows. The show hasn’t shown any big romantic scenes between them. But there are signs that their bond is getting stronger.

They have a bond built on trust and respect, demonstrated by how much they lean on each other during the hardest of missions. Sarada also expresses concern for his well-being during missions and when he has issues at home. Boruto, in turn, respects Sarada’s dream of becoming Hokage, even if he doesn’t always say so.

What’s interesting about this possible couple is that their relationship is both similar to and different from their parents’ relationship. Sasuke and Naruto were rivals with a complicated relationship. And their children have developed a new kind of dynamic. If their relationship becomes more romantic down the line, it would feel like the evolution of their characters, not something forced to create drama.

It’s also worth noting that romantic development in the show moves slowly. The focus of the story is still mainly on battles and the bigger conflict involving enemies like the Otsutsukis. However, as the characters develop and the story progresses, opportunities for more intimate relationships may arise.

There are many other characters, like Sumire, who have shown some interest, but none of those interactions carry the same impact as his with Sarada. Fans have picked up on this and often discuss whether the two are being set up for a future romance. While there’s no official confirmation yet, the way the story is written gives room for that possibility.

The Current Focus in Boruto

Beyond potential romance, Boruto’s journey is still very much about discovering who he is. He’s dealing with the pressure of being Naruto’s son, the danger of the Karma seal, and the changing world of shinobi. Adding a love interest too soon might distract from that, which is why the writers seem to be taking their time.

In many ways, their dynamic is built on growth. They’ve both had to step out of the shadow of their famous parents and find their path. Supporting each other through that process builds a deep connection that could one day turn into love. Whether or not it becomes romantic, it’s clear that their relationship is one of the strongest in the series.

The show has not yet pinned him down in an actual romantic relationship. The original series also didn’t focus on romance until much later, so Boruto is probably taking the same direction. It is a relationship of trust and friendship forged in adverse circumstances. As time passes and the characters mature, their connection may well evolve into love.
