The Naruto sequel, Boruto, has managed to distinguish itself from its predecessor with a complex plot revolving around its fascinating cast of characters. Among the several new additions, Eida is a character who is introduced later in the series but instantly captivates viewers.
Her beautiful appearance, ambiguous goals, and mystifying powers directly cause the protagonist’s development, leading to the events in Two Blue Vortex. Eida, also called Ada, is a cyborg created by Amado who possesses the DNA of Shibai Otsutsuki. Her powers exceed that of Jigen himself, and she despises her creators for shaping her personality.
Due to the danger she posed, Eida and her brother Daemon, who is equally as strong as she is, were hidden in a remote location. Following Isshiki’s death, Code scouted her to join his new Kara. Unfortunately, even the new leader could not control Eida.

Eida is one of the most unique individuals in the entire Naruto universe, particularly because she has no grand goals. Her innate power of enchantment causes everyone around her to fall in love with her instantly. This is shown in the case of everyone from Shikamaru to Code. The only exceptions are those with Otsutsuki DNA and Eida’s own bloodline.
Consequently, Aida craves to fall in love and have a normal relationship. Boruto and Kawaki were two potential candidates she identified to fulfill her dream. However, since the latter was closer to her age, she chose him as her partner. To realize her wish, Eida teams up with Code, promising to assist him in achieving the Otsutsuki will in exchange for letting Kawaki live.
With her introduction, the balance of powers in the series is completely thrown off. This is due to Eida’s Senrigan, giving her the ability of Clairvoyance. Through this, Eida can perceive everything occurring in the world and can even look at past events up to her birth. The skill works similarly to a CCTV camera where she can effortlessly spy on others and check the veracity of information.
However, it is important to note that Eida is not obedient to Code. Rather, it is the opposite. Eida merely works with Code as she believes it to be the best chance of getting together with Kawaki. When Amado removed Code’s limiters and the antagonist rebelled against Eida, Daemon was quick to attack him, and the duo abandoned him.
They shifted allegiances to Konoha, living under supervision and assisting the village and Kawaki. Regrettably, Eida’s abilities also caused the biggest plot twist in the story. When Kawaki decided Boruto’s existence was too risky, he shifted Naruto and Hinata to another dimension through his Daikokuten.
Following this, his intense desires resonated with Eida’s ability, resulting in the game-changing Omnipotence. Through a large flash that affected the entire planet, Eida unconsciously granted Kawaki’s wish. She made him and Boruto switch places, making the former Naruto’s son and labeling the latter as the Hokage’s killer. This turned the entire village against the protagonist, forcing him to go on the run during the time skip.

Is Eida Evil in Boruto?
Eida cannot be classified as evil. However, she is far from a completely innocent character. Her actions have been consistent from the very beginning, where she is a maiden craving love. She does not hesitate to cause rampant destruction and abandon others if it means she can find her ideal partner.
Eida desperately desires normalcy, expressing joy in talking with Sumire and Sarada and even enjoying the tension between them due to their shared love for the same person. As seen in the Two Blue Vortex, she helps Konoha in its efforts against the Human God Trees.
This doesn’t completely discount the impact of her actions, where she condones Daemon’s murderous tendencies and overturns Boruto’s life. At the same time, it isn’t enough to fully label her as evil.
Eida is one of the most intriguing additions to Boruto, wielding the most broken power in the series and causing the events of Two Blue Vortex. Her craving for true love makes her morally ambiguous, leaving fans on their toes about her unpredictable actions.
