Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues to raise the stakes with new powers, bigger threats, and deeper character development. One of the most exciting revelations recently has been the leak of the next chapter. In the spoiler of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the official naming of Sarada Uchiha’s Mangekyo Sharingan ability was dropped.

In a recent update, it has been confirmed that her Mangekyo’s ability is called Ōhirume (大日孁). This is a big moment for fans who have followed Sarada’s growth throughout the series. Ever since she activated her Mangekyo Sharingan at the end of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, she has been full of mystery, particularly in terms of what type of ability she would inherit.

Sarada’s Mangekyo was awakened during an emotional and intense moment, driven by her desire to protect Boruto and fix a world that had been changed by powerful enemies. Eida, a cyborg that was introduced earlier in the series, used her Omnipotence ability on Kawaki. This made them switch places in Boruto. In a wave of emotion for Boruto, she unlocks her Mangekyo Sharingan when she tries to convince Sasuke to protect Boruto.

Her unlocking of the Mangekyo Sharingan is a little different from most unlocks that we have seen in the show. Characters like Itachi, Obito, Madara, and Sasuke unlock theirs in a moment of loss that causes intense emotional pain. But Sarada’s was different. She was in despair for Boruto. Nothing had happened to him yet, but the possibility made her experience the same type of feelings that other past Uchihas felt.

In chapter 20 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, she used her ability for the first time in her fight against Ryu. Ryu is a self-aware Human God Tree that was created when one of Code’s Claw Grimes devoured Shinki, the adopted son of the Kazekage Gaara. In the fight, Sarada and her team had their backs against the wall, and all the members of her team were down for the count.

After a little speech from Yodo, she stops holding back, and her eyes show the sun-shaped pattern of her Mangekyo Sharingan. She uses the ability of her doujutsu to perform a Space-Time Ninjutsu, which sucks all the Iron Sand of Ryu. The ability involved opening a rift that sucks whatever she chooses in.

Now that the ability has a name in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, we finally get a clearer idea of the direction her power is taking and how it ties into her heritage. The name Ōhirume also weaves in some historical context to her doujutsu. Ōhirume is another name for the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu, in Japanese myth. It connects her power to former Uchihas like Sasuke and Itachi.

This connection is no coincidence. Amaterasu is also the name of the powerful flame jutsu used by both Sasuke and Itachi with their own Mangekyo Sharingan. By naming Sarada’s ability Ōhirume, the story places her alongside these legendary Uchiha figures. This shows that she could become as strong as them, or maybe even stronger.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Sarada’s role has become more important than ever. As Boruto walks a dangerous path on his own, Sarada has been focused, determined, and brave. She has been training and getting stronger for the eventual confrontation with the Otsutsukis.

The name of her Mangekyo ability symbolizes the light she brings in dark times. Even if she doesn’t use the same black flames as her father and uncle, the name Ōhirume still has a strong meaning. It shows that she carries on her clan’s legacy in her own way.

This development is really exciting because it connects to the larger context in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Sarada wants to be Hokage, and her new Mangekyo power is a big step in that direction. While Boruto himself is becoming more like a lone warrior, Sarada represents the part of the next generation that believes in teamwork, hope, and responsibility.

More Possibilities in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

The choice of name also opens up a lot of theories for fans. Will Sarada gain a version of Amaterasu? Will her Ōhirume ability be something completely new? Could it involve light-based jutsu or spiritual power? The possibilities are endless, and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is setting the stage for some big moments ahead.

The timing of this reveal in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex feels right. Unlike other characters who gain powers quickly, Sarada’s journey has been slower but more thoughtful. She has grown naturally, learning from her mistakes, listening to others, and staying true to her values. That patience makes the reveal of her Mangekyo ability feel earned and meaningful. It’s not just a flashy moment but is the result of years of development.

As we move further into Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Sarada is clearly going to be one of the central figures in the fight to restore peace and balance. Her awakening was one born of love and loyalty and the desire to fight injustice, making her power deeply personal. Now that her Mangekyo Sharingan's ability is known as Ōhirume, fans should be anticipating her powers to set the scene ablaze in the action ahead. She could also be continuing the legacies of her father and uncle.
