Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children) dropped by The Kelly Clarkson show to dish on the fifth season of Selling Sunset and shared some stories from her memoir, Under Construction.

Longtime soap star Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children) reveals a lot about her life in her brand-new memoir, Under Construction, including a girl-power power move she made after her marriage with Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman, The Young and the Restless; ex-Fox Crane, Passions) fell apart.

Chrishell popped by The Kelly Clarkson Show and dished on the passage in the book that has a lot of people buzzing: she sold her wedding ring to help pay for her new house!

"Sometimes life gives you lemons, and sometimes you've got to add a little vodka!" the actress joked of her decision. "I was trying to make the best out of a situation, so yeah, you try to find your positives."

During the episode, Stause also touched on the therapeutic process of writing about her failed relationships in her memoir -- one of those being with Hartley, the other being her recent breakup with her Selling Sunset boss Jason Oppenheim.

"This was a cathartic situation, because so much is said out there, and sometimes, there's not a lot of context," she explained. "I am past those things, I am healed, there is no anger there, so, it's nice to give context and tell a story that I know a lot of people have related to... On Instagram and stuff, you only see the good stuff, so it's nice to kind of get into the real stuff and explain how you go from [a dark place] to getting back to the good part."

In addition to promoting Under Construction, Stause's appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show was meant to promote the upcoming fifth season of her hit Netflix reality show, Selling Sunset, which will premiere on Friday, April 22. Stause revealed that the upcoming season will be filled with a lot of drama, including some "personal aspects" from her own life, like her breakup with Oppenheim.

"It's probably going to be a little hard to relive some of these things, because it goes into the relationship I was in at the time, but I think it's also therapeutic, because that was a piece of my life that I lived," she said. "I can't act like it didn't happen -- I definitely can't now because you guys are going to see it!"
