Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres, All My Children) has signed on to NBC's true crime series, The Thing About Pam, which also stars Oscar winner Renée Zellweger.

Fans who love seeing All My Children alum Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres, All My Children) on their screens are in for a treat. The actor will be joining Oscar winner Renée Zellweger in the upcoming NBC limited-run series The Thing About Pam.

According to Deadline, the true crime drama is based on the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria and will delve into the "the real-life, stranger-than-fiction" story that resulted in the conviction of Betsy's husband, Russ Faria, who always maintained that he was innocent. His conviction was later overturned, and a diabolical scheme that involved Betsy's coworker, Pam Hupp (played by Zellweger), was uncovered.

Duhamel will play Joel Schwartz, the defense attorney for Russ Faria.

The Betsy Faria case was examined on several episodes of Dateline and became one of the most popular topics to air on the NBC newsmagazine. It also became the subject of the 2019 Dateline podcast, The Thing About Pam, which remains one of the most downloaded podcasts on iTunes.

The Thing About Pam marks Duhamel's return to NBC, where he made his primetime series debut opposite James Caan in Las Vegas, which aired from 2003 to 2008. He previously starred in another NBCU limited series, USA Network's Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. Some of his other credits include Battle Creek, Safe Haven, New Year's Eve, and the Transformers franchise.

Earlier this year, Soap Central reported that Duhamel had joined the cast of the upcoming action romance-comedy Shotgun Wedding, opposite Jennifer Lopez.
