Congratulations are in order for daytime alum Dondré Whitfield (Terence Frye, All My Children; Jesse Lawrence, Another World), who has joined People (The TV Show!) as a special contributor.
The 30-minute entertainment news show -- which was inspired by People news and features exclusive celebrity interviews -- is thrilled to add him alongside fellow contributors Nancy O'Dell, Gretchen Carlson, and Julie Moran, who are based in Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta, respectively.
"Dondré is a terrific addition to the People (The TV Show!) team," says executive producer Rob Silverstein in a press release. "He brings passion, curiosity, contacts, and a much needed point of view to our audience."
Says Whitfield, "I have been an actor for almost four decades. Acting is my passion, but activation is my purpose. And as a special contributor for People (The TV Show!), my intention is to activate the viewers by highlighting those who do extraordinary things!"
Whitfield began his career in the recurring role of Robert Foreman on The Cosby Show in the mid-1980s. He later played Terrence Frye on All My Children, earning three Daytime Emmy Award nominations in the Outstanding Younger Actor category for his work on the soap. Some of his other credits include Queen Sugar, Mistresses, Make It or Break It, Girlfriends, Cold Case, and the BET reality series Real Husbands of Hollywood.
Whitfield made his debut on People (The TV Show!) in March with a two-part interview with Katrina M. Adams, the first African American and the youngest person ever to serve as President, Chairman, and CEO of the United States Tennis Association.
People (The TV Show!) is led by New York correspondent Jeremy Parsons and L.A. correspondent Sandra Vergara. The show is hosted by Kay Adams and airs Monday through Friday. Check your local listings for exact times or stream the show every day at 7PM ET/4PM PT on People.
