Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall Hart, All My Children) and Selma Blair revisited their award-winning kiss from 1999's Cruel Intentions during Sunday's MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time. Is it as good as Kendall and Greenlee's famous kiss?

Soap operas have boasted some pretty famous girl-on-girl smooches -- hello the Kenlee kiss between All My Children besties Kendall and Greenlee! -- but one of the most famous female kisses of all time happened between AMC alum Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall Hart) and Selma Blair in the 1999 film Cruel Intentions. Luckily for fans of the film, the pair recreated (or at least tried to recreate) the memorable moment during Sunday's MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time.

Having won the 2000 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, the friends took home the 2020 award for Legendary Lip Lock. During the award ceremony, Gellar revealed that their Cruel Intentions smooch is the single most-awarded kiss in cinema history, joking, "You don't have to Google it. I already did."

Blair explained that the film's kiss has resonated with people for so long "not just for the initial shock value but because it was a catalyst for so many young people to help them realize certain aspects of their sexuality and help make people comfortable to be who they really are.

Gellar added, "It also represented a paradigm shift to a new dynamic towards acceptance in pop culture. Also, it was super hot."

As a special thanks to their fans, Gellar and Blair tried to recreate their famous kiss -- but as this is the year of COVID, a plexiglass partition prevented the pair from actually locking lips.

"Stay safe, MTV," Gellar joked after the awkward and amusing re-creation. "And 2020, end soon."

Check out the video of Gellar and Blair kissing below, and for your extra entertainment, we've also included the video of Kendall and Greenlee's (Rebecca Budig) hilarious kiss on AMC, which happened after Alicia Minshew took over the role of Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) daughter.

Gellar made her debut as AMC's Kendall in 1993 and immediately found success in the genre, winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in 1995 -- the same year she left the soap opera. After departing Pine Valley, Gellar became a household name as the star of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series and for her roles in Cruel Intentions and the Scooby-Doo films. However, did you know she got her start in a 1980s Burger King commercial? Click here to check out the classic ad.
