Lynne has made herself invaluable throughout the majority of Paul William's detective career, as secretary, researcher and comic relief. Championed by Paul's mother Mary, she has always had a serious crush on Paul, and they dated in the early years of her being his secretary. The only thing we know about her past is that she was once a rape victim. She and co-worker Marissa Barton are friends.
In 2003 Lynne worked to reunite Christine and Paul by helping Mary and Chris dig up dirt on Paul's wife Isabella. In doing so Mary and Lynne broke into Michael Baldwin's office, but were caught digging through his files. Michael dropped the charges. Later, when Isabella appeared to have been murdered, Lynn and Mary were suspects. But it turned out that Isabella was not dead, but was setting up Christine to look like a murderer.
Williams Investigations is no more as Paul has joined Michael Baldwin and X-wife Christine Blair as Investigator in their partnership. Lynne went to visit her mother during the move, and has not been seen since.
