Maura Jo West
West was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is the youngest of four children; her siblings include two brothers, Peter and Andrew, and one sister, Amy. She earned her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree from Boston University.
Maura was on ATWT for one year when she decided to vacate the role so she could concentrate on motherhood. Over a year later, she returned to ATWT and continued to be a fan favorite.
Maura is a huge fan of the New York Yankees. In fact, it was at a Yankees game that her fiancé, co-star
Scott DeFreitas, proposed marriage. Maura's hobbies include reading and, of course, spending time with her children.
