Carolyn Conwell joined Young and the Restless in 1980 as Paul Williams' meddling mother Mary. She has studied under Herbert Berghof in New York and Jeff Corey in Los Angeles.

During her spare time, Carolyn enjoys gardening, golfing, singing and reading.

She has also starred in Los Angeles stage productions of "The World of Ray Bradbury", "Othello", "Come Blow Your Horn", "Once More With Feeling", "Freud" and "The Runner Stumbles."
