Many fans have been asking for Michael Muhney's return to television -- and they are about to get their wish granted. It will not, however, be on The Young and the Restless.
The Emmy-nominated actor took to Twitter to reveal that he is in Canada, filming a part for the upcoming ABC drama The Good Doctor.
Earlier this year, Muhney generated some buzz with a tweet that seemingly implied he would be returning to The Young and the Restless, where he played the role of Adam Newman from 2009 to 2014.
The Good Doctor makes its debut on Monday, September 25, on ABC. There's no word yet on when Muhney's episode will air, so keep checking in with soapcentral.com -- here and on Twitter @soapcentral -- for updates.
UPDATE: ABC has released the official information for Muhney’s The Good Doctor episode. Titled “Point Three Percent,” the synopsis for the hour-long episode scheduled to air on Monday, October 23, is as follows: “While in the exam area of St. Bonaventure Hospital, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) encounters a young patient who looks eerily similar to his deceased brother, Steve. After discovering his parents have hidden his diagnosis from him, Shaun struggles to understand why he doesn’t deserve to hear the truth about his own health. Meanwhile, the team can’t figure out what keeps triggering their parents’ increasingly severe allergic reactions and races to find the cause before the next one kills another patient.”
Muhney took to Twitter to share a photo of himself doing some post-production work on the episode.
“Back in LA at SONY doin' some post production for @GoodDoctorABC” he shared.
