Jennifer Landon cast as Y&R's new Heather

Heather Stevens will once again be headed out of Genoa City. Jennifer Landon, the third actress to tackle the role, has been let go. Landon joined The Young and the Restless this spring. Landon previously appeared on As the World Turns.

The Young and the Restless' Heather woes continue. Though unconfirmed by the show, Soap Central has learned that newcomer Jennifer Landon (Heather Stevens) has been let go.

Landon, a three-time Emmy winner for her work as Gwen Norbeck on As the World Turns, began taping her first Y&R scenes in May 2012. Upon arrival in Genoa City, Landon became the third actress in as many years to play the attorney. Previous Heathers included Vail Bloom, who originated the role in June 2007. In March 2010, former All My Children star Eden Riegel was hired as the show's new Heather. Just 18 months later, in September 2011, Riegel learned via Twitter that she had been let go from the show.

Landon is the daughter of the late actor Michael Landon, who is best known for roles on Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Highway to Heaven.
